Went to Avenue Friday Harbour for first time. Originally we have heard mixed reviews but this location is incredible! We had... the pleasure of being served by Angelo, who is amazing!! He's attentive, on point, and extremly professional. Mike also servedand these gents are incredible, they make this place over the top! Beautiful dining room. Not very busy for lunch service on a weekday. Sat in the dining room right by the open sliding doors so... had an inside/outside vibe. Waitress was friendly and personable. We ordered the pizza & loved it! Thin crust, wood burningoven-delicious! The espresso after lunch, STRONG! But some people like it that way. I went to Avenue for the Furst Time On Sunday and I can truly say I loved it. The Server and the stauuf where always attentive... and would tell us the daily special. The atmosphere and the restaurant are truly beautiful inside and out and the whole resortis beautiful. We tried the Americana Pizza, Fettuccine Funghi and the Tiramasu. The pizza was truly delicious crust and fluffywith the peporoni hitting the spot. The Fettuccine Funghi was really good, creamy and delicious and the pasta was madeperfectly. The Tiramsu was tender and fluffy and delicious. I would recommend anybody attending to come early, we arrived around12pm on a Sunday and by the time we left there was abut of a lineup. Read more

Food and service were so spectacular we went two days in a row. Mike and Vanya were attentive, personable, 12/10 servers. We had... the specials of the day both times, and they did not disappoint. Either go right at the start of lunch service or make areservation ahead as they are quite busy. There are so many bad reviews for Avenue which don?t make sense to us because food andservice were above and beyond during both of our visits. Best restaurant on the harbour. Read more

An capital E experience. Super service. A bit slow getting out the rounds of food but we'll with the wait. Really excellent... food. Mike out waiter was honest and funny. Total pro. If the owners read these reviews...give him a raise. Really interestingand new cocktails. The spicy margarita loved it. It was not inexpensive. Quite the opposite. But. Just went there for dinner tonight, and Id say that overall the food was average and the service definitely was a huge turn off.... First of all, our reservation was at 6:30pm and we arrived on time and were seated immediately. Once we were seated the serverasked me ?bubbles or no bubbles ?and asked me if I wanted ?warm bread? Not knowing this would be on my bill later on. Notknowing that there was ice water available which I heard other servers suggest to their guests later on into the dinner service.I don?t understand why the server thought it was ok to make it seem that there was no other options?? I really didn?t care forthe ?bottled water? and ?focaccia bread? but he made it seem as though it just came with the dinner service , which I think isextremely manipulative. In addition, he didn?t give any suggestions, or wasn?t that interested in whether we had questions orconcerns about the menu. Thankfully the food was tasty but it was nothing special. What bothered me was that he would check inevery 5 minutes. Honestly for some people this would be great because it shows concern, but in my opinion I felt as though wewere being rushed. He gave us to go boxes for our appetizers right when the entrees came. I just wanted to eat my food in peaceand talk to my date. It was disappointing considering the amount of money we paid for the dinner. I?ve had better service atSwiss Chalet and lower end restaurants. After the entrees he didn?t even ask us if we wanted coffee tea or dessert nothing justthe bill. After paying I realized we only sat down for less than an hour (40 min) which actually disappointed me even more.Overall, we were rushed, the dinner was average and unfortunately I didn?t have the experience I was looking forward to. The service was amazing. The food was stellar. Every minute of our experience was delightful. I cannot imagine why everyone... would not be incredibly pleased with this place. Reserved ahead of time on open table. Very welcoming and nice staff. Food was a bit disappointing. My mashed potato?s were not... mashed at all, had big chunks of whole potatoes. Salmon tasted very off, and dry. Both cocktails were watered down. Took them 1hour to bring our food. Definitely not worth the wait. Read more
