This review is for the cottages at this business. The location of Busy Bee is wonderful, with the lake mere feet from your door.... The sound of the gentle waves provided a peaceful setting. The accommodations, however, are better described as "rustic cabin"than the words "cozy cottage" used in their marketing. The bed was uncomfortable, and the spiders plentiful. We just didn't feelwe got what we paid for. If you have a boat and a fishing rod, it may be a good fit for you, but for us this was not a goodvalue. Read more
Lovely place by the water. Have a good selection of wines and quick bites. Went here for breakfast and for sandwiches in the... evening. Loved the food and the ambiance. Get an outdoor seat and enjoy the view of the Cayuga lake. Read more
It's very ideal for people who have lake side cottages and don't want to drive into Ovid or Trumansburg to snag a few quick fix... groceries. In my opinion it's not worth making a special trip just to grab stuff from there. Like I said it's marketed more soon the people who own a lake house near there. It's not terrible by any means. Busy Bee is a perfect place to lunch with f r fiends! The lake view is right in close view. You can eat inside, partially inside... with floor to ceiling glass and sliding panels to allow nice breezes, or on the open deck under umbrellaed tables. The food isfresh and delicious. The variety can suit any need or palate. You order at the inside counter and are serviced at your table.The grocery and gift shop are also lovely and carry interesting and unusual items! This is a Book Club favorite spot!! Read more
Wonderful atmosphere! We visited by boat on a Sunday evening, and there was live music, a quiet crowd enjoying the music and... conversation. We had ice cream but the menu featured all sorts of fun wraps, and other light meals. Highly recommended. Read more
