Terrible service ended up leaving 1.5 hours after being sat with our food to go. Didn't get menus for 25 minutes and when they... came to take out order be said we didn't have menus finally then again 20 minutes they took our order. I haven't gotten the foodyet as I'm still waiting so I cant even put if it tastes good . The server seemed like she hates her job and we got a good eyeroll upon asking for our food to go . Super disappointed! I have a couple of food allergies so I called last year to see if they could accommodate me. I was told... that there were many items that could be made for me including chicken wings, which are one of my favourite foods! This pastsummer, we went for supper after a day at the beach. On arrival, we ordered a drink and I explained my food allergies to thewaitress. After multiple trips to the kitchen, I was told the only thing that I could eat was a salad - without any dressing.The chicken wings were no longer an option, nor was anything else on the menu. I ordered the spinach salad, I was charged $20instead of the $19 as shown on the menu. I was also charged $2 for g/f bread which I neither ordered nor received. Thewaitress amended my bill after she double checked the menu to make sure that I was correct. On the table was contactinformation to send a message to the manager regarding any questions/concerns/comments on your experience. I texted the manageron Aug 2/22 and received notification that my message was sent to the managers at the Rocky River Grill. To date, I have nothad a response. As my food issues are challenging, I have NEVER just shown up at a restaurant and demanded that theyaccommodate me, I always call ahead. To be offered a dry salad that I was overcharged for and then get no response frommanagement shows me that my business is not worth their time. As a local to this area, I will be taking my business to theother restaurants in town that are willing to work with me and offer me more than a salad. Read more
Wow! What can I actually say about this place. This was actually one of the worst experiences I've had in a very long time.... While the staff was kind and doing their best to get things served, the food was absolutely atrocious. Even the simplest mealwhich was a burger that my mother had was very poorly done. My father had one of the curries and it was bland, and none of theflavors worked well. I feel like all the sauces here are mass produced and everything is just tossed in sauce. They really needto work on their food quality and many options as their food is really basic and even at that they fail quite miserably. I'dlove to revisit at some point and hopefully they make some vast improvements. Read more
WORST Waitress ever Stayed in the hotel that's attached to the restaurant and I have never been treated more like an outsider,... then I did at this location. We visited the restaurant, after being on the road for about 7hrs and needless to say that we were"Hangry". Our waitress came by the table and said that she would be looking after us, with no mention of what her name was. Shetook my spouses request of a coke, and then took my order for a Corona. My spouse barely had time to say can I add, and thewaitress was off, behind the bar. The request was to ask that Spiced Rum be added to the coke. A VERY young looking girl broughtthe coke and we explained that we wanted to change the order to a Rum & Coke, but our server walked off before anything could besaid. Our food arrived with no utensils, and the very young lady, looked so confused as why we didn't have any. At this point,our waitress was literally running back and forth between customers outside on the patio and 2 or 3 tables inside. Not once hadour waitress said anything to us, after the food order was taken. By the end of our stay, our waitress had checked on us, onlyonce or twice. We were never asked if we wanted more to drink, after our first drinks, nor how the food was, but she did manageto find time talking to some regulars to the restaurant as they talked about her family and her sister. I have never beentreated such as an outsider, as I did that night. I did manage to get a text out to the manager, on an app that is clearlymarked on the tables. The complaint was never resolved and the reply we were given was - "I'll take care of it". On July 27 seven of us went for dinner @ Rocky River. I should preface this by saying we are locals, and have spent many happy... hours at this establishment, and have had absolutely no complaints. Staff have always been delightful, and food very tasty. Butnot this time. Food was barely adequate. Fish and chips were fish sticks with way too much batter, all dishes were served warmat best, and presentation was non-existent. Our server was ok. She did her job, but with no enthusiasm, or personality. Seemed abit defensive, which is understandable in light of some of the shortcomings she likely had to deal with. All the young fellowswere lovely and attentive. I?m sad. We?ve always recommended Rocky River to visiting friends and family, but will thinkcarefully before doing so again ???? Read more
Was at Rocky River Grill for dinner last night. Amazing service. Very busy with alot of people, however every staff that was... working was helping to make the flow easier. We're local and have been here many times. The service and the food are always overand above. I hope the rest of your evening went smoothe ???? Read more
Really enjoyed the atmosphere and food here. We sat on the patio and even though you can see the highway, the mountain view over... top is exceptional. I really love Yam fries and the cooks here did not disappoint. Everything was cooked perfect. I was sadthough, there was no calamari that night! Read more
Such good food with amazing service. This place was so busy we thought we'd have to eat at the bar. But the waitresses nailed it... with their good and prompt service. Best part is, it's the same great food it was 6 years ago. Read more
