Ok so typically we do bbq at mallett's, however we chose to grill order and did the chicken fried steak. Just to let ya know if... you are famished feeling as far a apatite goes the full order would be perfect for you . if one is just hungry you know causeits that time you would best be suited by half order. And to tell yall, u both will still need a togo box. Not only is it morethan plenty it its delicious. Personally on sides the cowboy potatoes are delic. Although its a BBQ place they have a variety of menu items. Two of us had chopped BBQ sandwichesand one had a hamburger. A lot of BBQ places including Mallett Bros. now use a grinder to make their chopped beef (ugh) so weusually ask for chopped on the block beef as we did this time. The beef was tender and juicy. Their sauce had a good balance ofsweetness and vinegar. The fries were homemade and good also. The burger took a while but was a handmade patty that was goodsize and flavored well. Pro tip? if you order a hamburger, it is fresh and it takes TIME. If you order bbq, you will get it IMMEDIATELY. Burger was big,... but had waaaaaaay too much mustard and too salty. Fries needed that salt! Good social distancing although only 2-3 to-gocustomers were wearing masks. Read more
Stopped by because this restaurant was highly recommended by a co-worker and I have to admit I am a little underwhelmed. The cat... fish had so much mustard that it smelled of only mustard and the taste was of highly seasoned mustard. I truly feltdisappointed. The waitresses were super friendly and pleasant my only issue was that while ringing me up I over heard one sayto the other "the fish special" and the other agreed and when I noticed the sign saying the fish special came with a free drinkI inquired if mg meal came with or included a drink and I was promptly told no. It wasn't a big deal but if you're advertisingsomething then you should honor it. In all fairness I did not order what was recommended so I will give this restaurant anothershot Read more
