Unfortunately, the wait staff gets to deal with the non sense and poor management of this establishment. The beer...on draft is... always flat. On multiple occasions have had to "try" out several different beers on tap to "find" the least warm or flat beer.The owner/manager seems to be only there to try to acquire female companions and does not care about the actual business. Ifthis wasn't the case the beer(s)would not be flat and the staff wouldn't be stuck with the burden of dealing with re-pouring 2-3beers to take care of customers. Bardot is my favorite place to hangout! the atmosphere is great, drinks are delicious, and the staff always has a positive vibe.... Also, I never wait longer than a few minutes for a drink which is awesome compared to the other bars like Spoco where the waitis over 20 minutes. Long story short I met one of the owners and that's what brought me here last night. After working a second shift I came in with... a buddy he had to go and I stayed till one. Played it solo stayed out of trouble, had 2 drinks they were good, regular pricedmojito and some summer vodka concoction. I forget the bartenders name but the gal checked on me regularly, not too frequently,just right. I really liked the atmosphere of the building itself, but also of the people that came in, not too crazy, but justa touch. It's inevitable you know. We held a semi-private event at the Bardot establishment last week, and had an amazing experience. Reserving the tables for our... event was easy process, and choosing the appetizers for our guests was also smooth because the owner really helped us figure outwhat would work best for our guests. He was right, we had zero complaints. Honestly, everyone loved the food, especially thebacon covered dates! Drinks were delicious and beautifully crafted. Great for snapchat ;) The atmosphere of Bardot, is veryversatile and unique. I've been there before on the weekends for a drink, and it is nothing like anything else downtown in IowaCity. The floors never sticky, the music is always on point, it's clean, and I don't run into any underage "hooligans." It's agreat time for me and my colleagues, and I'm happy to report that after my special event I will always recommend Bardot for agood, classy, tasty time! Read more
One night I went they charge for cover when they were ending in half an hour which in my opinion is rediculous. The bar itself... is good and the atmosphere is decent with it's neon lighting.
