By far my favorite place in Iowa City, the food is delicious, the staff is friendly, and the portions are huge and cheap. The... lunch special is by far the best in Iowa City, and my go to spot. The pad thai is alright, but if you get anything else on themenu like the red and yellow curry or the tom yum, I guarantee you will be blown away. It's just a shame the place is alwayshalf empty, which is just cause of the location. Read more

Update: added a photo of the salad! Apparently it's called the yai yum? Salad with the clear peanut vinaigrette! Could eat it... every day Wow. Ordered some food yesterday and also added a side salad and honestly it was the best salad I ever had. Theveggies were incredibly fresh and the portions were huge. Also, the clear dressing it came with was sweet, tangy, with peanutsin it and so perfect. I want to eat it every day! It really hit the spot. Okay/good food, large portions, poor service... Oddly poor service for being the only customers there; the waitress couldn't... answer any questions about the food and was very antsy to get her tip and scoot us out. The noodles were very good but I do notrecommend the "meatballs." Read more
I stopped in for a late lunch while doing my laundry next door and made an appointment for a haircut next door as well. Plan on... getting a gallon of milk at the grocery store before finally leaving. Big parking lot so finding parking for my Silverado 3500HDpretty easy too. I had the Thai style ramen bowl. Very filling as they also gave me a small side salad. The noodles were verygood and it had a lot of shredded chicken. If I stay in the area this week, definitely trying the Panang curry next time.
