We have a place in Iron River and plan to retire there soon and we go out for fish often in Wisconsin. We love perch and trying... to find a place in the UP that serves them is impossible so we have friends that said George Young has perch so we were excitedto try it. What a joke , the fish came out and I have honestly had bigger smelt than these so called fish, they were dried outand about an eighth in.thick. We asked our waitress what they were and she said perch so I ripped one in half and she smiled andsaid it was luck of the draw. She asked if I wanted more, I didn?t eat the ones in front of me. I don?t blame her , she was verynice and required to serve what?s on the plate, I have never complained about meals in my life because I know how hard thesepeople work but this meal was not edible. And we still tipped her for her service.these fish don?t deserve even 1star !! Read more

Place looks nice and is secluded. We rode the 2 from crystal falls to alpha and then to youngs for lunch on our side by side. ... We figured an establishment that presents it's self to city folk would at least have a veggie option on their menu. In 2022 theystill have no veggie option. Plant based is not hard to make but no way were they going to do it. So we kept going and ate atouter limits which does have veggie options. Also their trail is a disaster, if they groomed it, it was years ago. Had to getthe chain saw out just to get back to trail. Read more

Young's hosted the UPGA men's senior championship tournament on Monday and Tuesday of this week. Can't be more impressed with... the golf staff and course conditions. This was my 25th tournament and the best tournament I attended in all of those years. Thisnot only includes the golf, but also the meal provided and the the kitchen and bar staff.
