I ordered a small fried turkey white rice. The fried turkey came with five pieces of bones and cartilage, and not one piece of... meat was on the bones, all I could eat was rice wish it came with plantain or salad at least, overall very disappointed, I'munsatisfied and still hungry. Read more

Was ordering very frequently when we first discovered this gem. Till one day we got some bad legume. Smelled and tasted sour.... Had the whole vomiting for 2 days. Even the dogs. Havent ordered ever since.. shame because before this incident they werewonderful. Read more
I was going to give the restaurant a four but the customer service was so professional and so hospitable I had to get them an... extra star. I ordered okra and I had the sauce, bean sauce over my white rice. The okra and chicken ranked at 3:00. The chickenwas a bit too tough for the American pallet. However, the okra was delicious. The sauce, the bean sauce needed more spices.Nevertheless I will definitely come back and try another dish. Very hospitable service oriented restaurant. Read more
Let me start with the most important part: The flavor is there and the food is good!!!! Delicious . Tasty. Flavors are all... around great, chicken, griot and the most perfect sos poa in the world!!! My only complaints are: I prefer dark meat chicken,the griot is cut too small and therefore some pieces are too cooked and the bunan could be crispier. But very good food!!!! Read more
Hidden gem. I was on a hunt for bouyon soup. I called about 10 restaurants. No one had it except for Apanou. I was a bit... skeptical because Apanou is a very small spot but I also never tried bouyon before. I just saw a picture of it online and knewit would taste good. I trusted Apanou's reviews and they didn't disappoint. The soup tasted better than I thought it would. Very flavorful and large portion. I'll be back for other dishes. This restaurant is authentic! Husband picked up 2 orders of fried goat combos. Came with mushroom rice, white rice, sweet... plantains, beans, house salad & macaroni salad. Everything was fresh and seasoned well! Will definitely be coming back! Read more
Ordered a fish fritay platter and a griot fritay platter and was very disappointed!! The griot was basically left over pieces... from the bottom of the pot. Just Griot dust!!!! The fish was spoiled!!!! Smelled and tasted si and not eatable. I felt badthrowing it away because i hate wasting food, but it was really my money that got wasted.
