Our goal was to support a black family-owned business. It was our First time here so ordered online to sample food on a Friday... at about 5:40pm for an around 6:30pm pick up, however our order was not ready until 7:20pm. They were out of cornbread, so theyleft our food in a bag on the counter until it was ready and did not offer a free drink or side for our wait. My food was coldwhen I arrive home (5 Mins away), and the cornbread was not worth the wait - it had zero blue berries and was so dry I almostchoked! The fish dinner came with 3 baby size Whitings (like filets of goldfish) and it was funky smelling without any seasoning(advise: use vinegar to clean the bacteria off your fish before you cook it). The beef brisket was shredded (instead of thickcut like the photos) dry, flavorless and fatty. A 1lb order of pork baby back ribs were a total of 4 small ribs for $24. Thekale had zero seasoning - absolutely bland (they could have used salt at least)! Then to top it off, I had to return to therestaurant because they forgot the mac and cheese, wait 20 more minutes for them to hand it to us without a bag nor an offer ofa free refreshment or anything for all our trouble. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY OR TIME HERE! This business does not appreciatetheir customers and need to listen to the repeated complaints then implement changes to improve the quantity and quality oftheir food, client experience and overall customer service. Today wasn't the day for a good meal. To start off, I don't know if they change the chef, the food wasn't good at all. The... Macaroni salad wasn't good, all you taste is mayo, too much mayo. The French fries with shrimp and crab meat had a smell thatwas not good. The shrimp was hardly cooked. The only good thing that was good was the salmon. Please taste the food beforeselling it out. My husband and I were really excited about trying out this restaurant. People told us not to eat here, but we like to try things... out for ourselves. After waiting 45 mins.. We were very disappointed ??. When I took my food out the bag this how my chicken washanging out of the container. When I opened it, it had a huge onion sitting on top of my food. Waited 30 minutes standing up for the completely wrong order. Ordered beef brisket platter and wing platter sauce on the side.... While we are there we are told the chefs put the sauce on the chicken and it would take 10 minutes to fix. We had already beenwaiting long enough so we decided not worth the additional wait. Get home and i have beef ribs not brisket. I can't supportincompetence at any level especially when charge top dollar. You get what you pay for, the food is pricey $$$$ but it's worth every penny. My colleagues and I order from this place for... lunch atleast twice within the past 30 days. The food is seasoned very nicely and it's cook with care to preserve taste andflavor. I personally recommend the street corn and the Mac and cheese. Bring your wallet but definitely try this out againit's worth it. Read more
I?ve been coming to this place for a while. Last two times have been complete trash. Honestly this place has lost its touch in... customer service, today topped it off. Called to confirm they were still taking orders at 6PM since they close at 7 on Sunday,and I?m driving 30mins just to pick up food from here. They said they were, so I went ahead and placed the order. I arrived andwaited an extra 25 minutes after checking in to pick up the order under the name I placed it. The food was put to the side wherethey place Grub hub orders despite me checking in. Any business with good customer service would tell the customer ?Hey here isyour order?. The order was finally handed over to me from the shelf, and they didn?t even inform me that they Refunded me for aplatter I had ordered, instead they just wrote it on the receipt. I was in the mood for a chicken sandwich and this spot has been on my list for a while so decided to try. I called in my order... with a nice lady. I ordered the bbq chicken sandwich with the coleslaw on the side. When I arrived, parking was tough so parkedillegally in front for a second. I walked in and one of the servers, not the female that took my order, asked in a very low toneif I was uber eats. I told her no I called in my order, and as I said that another lady came from the back with my order andsaid she just texted me. She handed me my order and I paid and left. When I got home I dug in and the sandwich was very tasty,messy but tasty. The coleslaw added a little extra to the sandwich and I liked it. I enjoyed my meal and will return. Read more
We've ordered here SO many times. We came for the Mexican street corn and have gotten hooked on everything else. I always get... the BBQ pulled chicken as the main. You can't go wrong with any of the sides...yes, I've tried most of them. Thanks for makingsuch delicious food Kbs! Read more
