The food was good. The service was ok. I only will give it 3 stars, because at the price point in which they operate I expected... a better quality food. Their steak although not bad , is not as good as Peter Luger's or Christos Steakhouse for example. But inprice, this place is way up there with them. Also Jimmy Hays Steakhouse page in Google is a little deceiving, because it isadvertised as two $$ which gives new customers the impression that is in the same price range of Outback Steakhouse or LongHorn for example. But in reality is not. I think they should at least bump it up to $$$. Read more
Staff and food are top tier. My waiter was too funny and knew the menu like the back of his hand. It?s hard to choose from all... the great options! First time there. Food was excellent! Ordered the Porterhouse for 2 (Sliced Steak for 2) for $112. I think the waiter said it... was 44 oz so really it can feed 4-5 people in my opinion. We took more than half home. Our steak came with onion rings. Weordered a side of Creamed Spinach for 4 ($20) and we had five people and we still left over. I also ordered a side of BrusselSprouts and my dad got a baked potato. We enjoyed everything! We ordered a $45 bottle of Chianti that was perfect for themeal. Our waiter was excellent! Personable, funny and helpful, graciously answering all of our questions and making greatsuggestions. He even got a cushion for my senior dad when he was uncomfortable in the wooden chair! Jimmy Hays himself camearound to see how we were doing and it was fun joking around with him! It was my birthday and dessert was on the house. A longtray with mini tartufo, tiramisu and key lime cakes all topped with different flavored ice creams, whipped cream and babyblueberries. We all got a taste, plenty to go around. A Real Steak House as everyone like ! Service was perfect ! Food was just cooked as requested (Medallions of Filet Mignon Au... Poivre and ribeye of the day). Can?t go wrong with Jimmy Hays! Classic establishment and amazing steaks! Great portions and you will always leave full! Always... recommend the bacon appetizer and lobster bisque. The servers even let you know you can split the soup since sizes are large.Huge fan of the aged New York cut with side of the glazed Brussels! Fun bar for after dinner drinks!
