This place is interesting. It has 3 different atmosphere in one. An outdoor dinning with seats and huge umbrellas, a small area... attached to the kitchen, and an separate room. It wasn't cohesive, but it has high ceiling and certain type of vibes. The foodwas med, but it was served super blazing hot. There's nothing outstanding, but its definitely worth a try. Read more

Bellevue has a number of phó and Vietnamese eateries but none stand out in terms of quality. Fortunately Umi Cafe in Issaquah... is not far away. We stopped in and were delighted. First off the menu is not stricly Vietnamese - I'd call it Vietnamese-asianfusion with Taiwanese influences. We ordered classic phó and the broth was outstanding. Lots of good herb flavor and notgreasy. The chicken wings were crisp and served as a great base for the fish sauce lime red onion fried garlic sauce. Carmelizedpork belly was so tender that I didn't need the knife. All in all it was great and I can't wait to return and try more menuitems, especially the short rib phó which the owner talked up as one of the dishes he's very proud of. Read more

Ever since moving to Issaquah, this place had been one of my favorites to order from, both to go and dine in. I'd told multiple... friends about Umi, and given rave reviews. So I'm really sad and disappointed to have to leave this 2 star review now, but Ihave to be honest. Their food has gone downhill in quality over the past few months. The service, even more so. And I've workedyears of service and retail, so let me say this: The manager/owner REALLY needs to hire someone else to wait the tables. I cantell he has something bad going on in his life and he is letting that spill over into his interactions with customers. What goodis a beautiful, peaceful "zen" atmosphere in your restaurant if the customers feel unwelcome? Back to the food. Earlier thismonth I had one of the noodle soups that I usually get as my "comfort food" and it tasted off, but I still gave it anotherchance last night. What a mistake- I've now got food poisoning. When this place is good, it's really really good. But latelyit's been a nightmare of an experience. Please do better, Umi! Signed, a heartbroken customer. Read more

I have passed by this restaurant a million times. Always curious. My 7 year old begged for us to go. Best decision ever.... Delicious food. We had the spicy chicken dumplings, gyoza dumplings, and spring rolls. We definitely over ordered but almostate everything. Super good food. Nice waiter. Fast service. Can?t wait to go back and try their viet coffee.I can?t wait to eathere when it warms up during the summer. The outdoor space is so cute. Read more

The traditional beef soup had a great broth, however the meat seemed to be of poorer quality compared to the duck bun appetizers... which were fantastic. Read more

I had the Taiwanese beef noodle soup and fried tofu - all really good! There is a cute little garden out front too! Would... recommend if you wanna stop somewhere near the highway for some food after a hike! :) Read more

Zen-like courtyard for outdoor seating, and cozy indoor space. Speedy, efficient service. Excellent wings - crispy and flavorful... (we tried the honey garlic variety). Decadent pork buns. Noodle soup is a generous portion - perfect on an overcast fall day. Read more
