The staff were very attentive and kept pace with the meal, very appropriate for the occasion. I ordered both the Apple Fest... macaroni and a cheeseburger. The Apple Fest macaroni is definitely a must-try when you're in Ithaca, and you can try it here ifyou're not in town for Apple Fest itself. The burger itself was cooked to perfection, nice and tender! Very pleasant experienceall around! Read more

My wife and I got married in Ithaca in July 2022, and Coltivare was an amazing place to have our rehearsal dinner and day-after... brunch. The food was incredible, and the service even better. Their events team was incredible thoughtful and responsive, andmade both days a wonderful experience for all of our family and friends. They offered to curate a special menu for the dinner, and provided us with the entire wine cellar for the dinner, along with 1/2 of the banquet space for “welcome drinks.” Forbrunch, we were the only one’s in the building, and felt so cared for. We couldn’t recommend Coltivare enough for specialoccasions and private events. We look forward to coming back soon! Read more

I rarely give reviews but have to share my experience at Coltivare. First, it’s one of the most expensive restaurants in town,... and therefore you expect top notch service and food. My table was a table of 10. The food, we decided was above average. Notfantastic, not bad either. Some dishes better than others. The service on the other hand, was poor. We were not a demandingtable, at all. And yet, we had a birthday girl at the table, who received her birthday cake without the other guests present atthe table (how do you not wait for all the guests to be present at your table before bringing out a birthday cake?) and thewaitress added a 25% tip onto the bill and disappeared before we could ask questions. Ithaca has limited dining options, andyet, I’d still choose elsewhere. Read more

Hand's down one of the best meals I've had out in a long time. Beautiful atmosphere and the wait staff was very attentive. 10... out of 10! Read more

The food is okay but there is room for improvement. Charcuterie board can include more meat varieties (now only sausages) and... have the cheeses cut. The menu is also VERY limited by the time we visited (May 27th). I don’t think it’s worth the priceand their environment, though. Please consider expand the menu and bring back some past dishes. The salmon was the highlight ofour meal and well as the tiramisu. Read more

Amazing experience, the waitstaff was quick and attentive. The food was outstanding. I will recommend the Buffalo cauliflower as... an appetizer, it will not disappoint! Their wine selection is very nice with a good selection of local wines. The price is alsodecent although not an every week price for the average person. Overall amazing experience! Read more

Do yourself a favor and make this place part of your Ithaca experience! Born and raised in Southwest Louisiana, I don’t trust... restaurants up north that claim to offer “Cajun” food—I’ve been disappointed too many times. But let me tell you: ChefPatrick is the REAL DEAL. There’s soul in this food. He’s infused the richness of Gulf Coast flavor into innovative disheslike the buffalo cauliflower. And when I ate his roux gumbo and shrimp and grits (topped with jumbo Gulf Coast shrimp andlocally sourced greens), I felt like I was back home. The place also captured the welcoming Cajun spirit and the service wasfantastic. I’m only in Ithaca for two nights, but I’ve eaten here both nights. Give it a try. You’ll never forget it! Read more

Locally sourced ingredients. Great concept, but poorly executed. Meat Flatbread ($15) sounds great but it's actually just a... small pizza similar in taste to Papa John's. In comparison the pizza at Cornell University North Star dining hall was muchbetter. Creole Crusted Lamb Chops ($36) was overcooked and it certainly was not creole in the least bit. We had high hopes butdecided to skip trying anything else due to disappoinment of the first few dishes. Dining hall ambiance. $80 for one entree, asmall pizza and one mixed drink. The reason it's not 1 stars is because the service was excellent. Read more
