Delicious crab cake sandwich, fried mushrooms and white Russian were a perfect compliment to the view from the patio.
This place is a little outside the city, but a long standing local favorite I went to see if it lives up to the hype. I found... this restaurant hard to manage with a cane. I had to stand an read a menu then go to bar and order. I ordered the steaksandwich. After about 15 minutes my name is called. Carrying my food and hobbling with a can I get to the closet empty dirtytable. The food was nasty. There was a game room downstairs but no handicap entrance. These lake restaurants are a dime adozen expensive and bad food so you can see the lake while eating. Not worth it. Read more
The views of the lake are a nice background while enjoying the food at this location! We have been twice now and the food is... great. We ordered the marinated chicken sandwich and buffalo boneless wings! Food comes out quickly and seems to be a goodportion for the price that we paid! The staff are also friendly and easy to take orders with! Will continue to enjoy the foodhere. Read more
Get out of the chain eateries and check in to this local spot. Ordered the burgers...they'll remind you of a good cookout! They... are good. There is a full bar so you can get adult drinks, but this place is also family friendly. Indoor and outdoor seatingwith a view of the lake. Read more
Glenwood Pines has adapted nicely during the past couple of years. They have a "new" model of ordering your food and drinks at... the bar. The time given to return to pick up your food is very accurate, ours was 25 minutes. We both had the classic Pinesburger, jalapeno poppers, and Korean BBQ wings all very tasty. They have nice seating indoors with a lower level game room andmore TVs. Outside are several picnic tables with a wonderful view of the lake. I spoke with the owner, a very nice gentleman,who says he started this model during the pandemic and found it helps meet the needs of his customers and the challenge ofhaving enough staff. Had a great lunch here with my boyfriend. Their homemade chips are amazing! Definitely recommend over the fries. I got the... chicken sandwich which was a solid choice and the sloppy Joe hot dog special my boyfriend got was even better. For dessert wehad the lemon cheesecake which was also really good. Everything was reasonably priced and don't be scared away by the takeoutstyle dining. They have lots of open tables with great views of the lake you're allowed to use, and some fun arcade games in thebasement if you're interested. Read more
Stopped & had a nice lunch overlooking water. Covid has changed how many restaurants serve and Glenwood's style works. Order at... the bar & 'takeout' is delivered to you for dine in. Our fish dinners were super tasty, fresh. Reasonably priced in a greatroadside restaurant. Read more
Came here for lunch after a hike at Taughannock Falls. We came with 2 kids, a baby and a dog and had a lovely lunch sitting at a... picnic table overlooking the lake. We arrived during a bit of a lunch rush but still didn't have to wait too long for whatended up being really delicious burgers, fries, coleslaw, fried pickles and chicken fingers (a really generous portion!)
