The Ale House has been a favorite place of mine for a long time. The new location offers more room indoors and outdoors. The... food is always bangin?, I?ve never had a bad meal here. The French Onion soup and the Buffalo Eggs Rolls are the bestappetizers on their menu. Their lunch/dinner entrees are all spectacular, can?t go wrong with a salad, burger or one thepizzas. Finally their Mrs. O?Leary?s cookies are the best things on earth! Served with a glass of milk, these cookies are ameal themselves but so delicious. Overall very average. It took a long time to get service at the bar. Wings were weird. French fries were amazing.
Sitting outside on a beautiful spring evening at the Ithaca Ale House was intoxicating. Living in this area for a year and... having my daughter visiting from PA seemed like the perfect time to visit the Commons. The flowers were beautiful and theatmosphere uplifting and fun. I had heard the best burgers could be found at the Ithaca Ale House. Very friendly staff a nicetable on the patio a tasty local beer called Flower Power and two burgers. We were not disappointed. The "Perfect Burger" thatmy daughter ordered was done to perfection, medium rare and my "American Classic" burger was medium and again done toperfection. These are real burgers, when you bite into one you get a flavor that screams back yard cook outs. The fries werecrisp and crunchy. Our server Bella was so great, she is a true professional. Hunger set in with the 1 h wait, but when checking in the hostess sat us as soon as she could. All in all the service was very... friendly but a bit slow given how busy they were (on a Sunday night!) The food was really good. The menu looks basic buteverything was well made. I had the French Dip and the taste and textures were perfect. My daughter had the Perfect burger, andI was really impressed with the cook - medium, juicy, pink, but nothing leaking out on the plate. Sometimes you have toappreciate the basics.
