I've been going to Ithaca Bakery for over a decade, and the slow slide into poor quality and higher prices has become bad enough... that I will likely never eat here again. The espresso drinks have been inconsistent and generally bad for the last year or two,and recently the food has gotten worse as well. Just today: my $13+ sandwich came with two tiny pieces of lox (less than half ofwhat I've received when ordering this same sandwich in the past), the bread was untoasted, and my "quad shot" latte tastes likeit has maybe a quarter of the espresso it should. How can anyone not love this bakery? It is so unique because it's not only a bakery and cafe, but they serve alcohol too (they... even do happy hour from 4-6). The food is always fresh and delicious. They have daily specials. They're baked goods are verygood, as well. They are a lot of drink options: tea, coffee, cocoa, and smoothies. They have local wines, ciders, and beers. They have indoor and outdoor seating (including little greenhouses with picnic tables). They sell cool merchandise. Read more

Went here for killing some time for a pitstop brunch with my friend. Been here for a year in Ithaca but this was my first time... going to Ithaca Bakery and I regret it! Really love the Sunday morning vibe here and the plenty of choices of food and drinksthey serve. I already had my breakfast so I ordered the Butter Cookie Chai which was so good and affordable as they served it ina large-sized cup. Was thinking to try their pastries or desserts next time! My friend got the Brain Power bowl with yummy ahituna, avocado, grapes, goat cheese, quinoa, and other fresh toppings. It was so good! I?m leaving Ithaca this week and wouldlove to go there for a breakfast pitstop before driving to the city. Oh, I would say they have a huge restroom inside, plenty ofseats inside and outside, and the queue might be confusing at first like where do we make a line for sandwiches, coffee, andelse but they have pretty detailed instruction being put in the queue. Must-try place as they have been serving for 100 years ifI?m not mistaken? What a legend! Read more

Really cute bakery. Very friendly staff. Nice selection of vegan options. Order was ready quickly. We got two vegan Power Plant... breakfast bagel sandwiches and Natalie's fresh squeezed orange juice. Was very tasty and filling. My only disappointment was thetables were dirty and sticky. Read more

Cool road trip stop! Freshly made coffee, bagel sandwiches, fruit and baked goods for the road, and a craft beer fridge for some... nice brews to enjoy at the destination hotel! Service was great, very friendly. I noted the sign for $5 pints 4-6 PM. If I everfind myself in Ithaca again I'm sure I would find myself here again! Read more

Very vegan/vegetarian-friendly. You can also substitute egg with JUST Egg or Tofu Scramble, and meat with Beyond Sausage for... any breakfast sandwich. So many options for bagel/bread & beverages too. Ordered online for pickup. Read more

All around pretty meh. This is an old school coffee spot that has a massive menu and doesn't seem to do anything well. I had... their Plant Power sandwich which is Beyond sausage, Just egg, vegan cheese, aioli, and arugula on a bagel. It sounded great butin execution it was pretty mediocre. Of course the products themselves are tasty, but the shreds were not melted and reallygross, I'm not even sure what brand they're using but there are wayyy better brands out there these days. Also there were maybetwo sprigs of arugula and it was a pretty tiny sandwich for being $9. I get that Just and Beyond are more expensive items, butthe quality of the rest of the sandwich didn't match. With a bigger bagel and more veggies, along with different shreds (ornone), it would have been much better. Their other vegan options were just the same old hummus and sprouts sandwich and twovegan baked goods out of a huge baked goods selection. They do have oat milk creamer out for coffee, you'll need a lot of it cuzthe coffee is pretty awful. They have wifi tho and you can hang for as long as you want, so it gets the job done for thatpurpose. Other than that, for the food/coffee, I would not recommend it. Read more

Excellent quality! Due to their fabulousness, they can get pretty busy at lunch time, but it is well worth the wait. Many... vegetarian options as well as traditional deli fare. Their baked goods - all of them - are top notch. My latest tastesensations were the Michigan Hollow and the Anne of Danby sandwiches. I would highly recommend either of these! I can't waitto go back and try out more of their menu. They have a fabulous service ethic to boot! Read more
