It's a cute small spot w/a limited menu. The duck fries were pretty good. The duck frite chicken was good but I wasn't into the... taste of the blanched collard greens. The cocktails we ordered weren't worth the price. I was not a fan. The cocktail my bfordered was slightly better than mine. If you sit outside, you'll likely encounter beggars asking for money & they'll keepcircling around. Read more
A hidden treasure! They serve amazing southern comfort dishes and the cocktails are amazing. Get the duck fat fries, my first... time trying and i loved it. The fried chicken really hit the spot. Food was amazing, all of the flavors were matched perfectly with each dish. I had the summer pasta and my partner had the fried... chicken, both were cooked perfectly and seasoned expertly. We also had the date appetizers and they were so unique butdelicious! Cocktails were interesting and had good flavor. The waiter was also so friendly and had great timing. He didn’thover over us but also was available when we wanted to order more. Great experience and I can’t wait to come back. Read more

I had some drinks and dinner here with my girlfriend. The staff is really nice and the menu ideas are great but the delivery... doesn't match. Food quantity is poor, drinks are poor (and not pour). $100.00 wasted. Maybe try some of the Asian cuisine in thearea instead. Read more
I cannot recommend The Rook enough. Start to finish, one of the best meals I've ever had. The hushpuppies with the pimento... cheese is better than some entrees I've had. Having spent a few years in NC, I can say that the south wishes it could createsuch a wonderful hushpuppy. The cheeseburger was able to do what it shouldn't have, given its lackluster name of "Cheeseburger."It was able to display a taste profile that no basic "Cheeseburger" should be capable of. Then there were the fries. I canhonestly say I've never had a better french fry. This meal was A+. 10/10, 100/100, a truly perfect meal. Read more
Unexpectedly delicious and beautiful dishes, with service that made us feel like VIPs. Really interesting north/south fusion... flavors and terrific cocktails. Way, way better than Fine Line Bistro (which occupied this space years ago) ever was. We'recoming back soon! Read more
Visiting the area and celebrating our anniversary, we searched google for a steakhouse and it lead us here. We passed other... chain steakhouses to eat local food. Google was wrong. This is not a steakhouse. A “happy accident” I guess. Food was good.They have a very limited menu. Servings were on the small size for the price but we were satisfied overall with the meal. WouldI go here again if we were in the area? Not sure. Service was fine. Overall it was a good experience. Read more
