This restaurant is a jewel in Amador. Excellent service and an eclectic menu that changes and improves upon itself. While it... does offer typical Amador food such as prime rib, clam chowder and pizza, there are some "big city" favorites such as calamari, lamb shank and lobster tail. Locals enjoy a discount two nights per week and, often, there are music events on the patio(weather and time of year permitting). We eat here at least once a month. Read more

Was disappointed. The pizza was soggy and the calamari was undercooked and when we asked for some cocktail sauce for the... calamari, the waiter was shocked and made fun of us. What a douche. Read more

This was by far one of the best experiences my wife and I have had on a trip that was extremely stressful and sad. We ended up... changing our reservation twice due to delays with a funeral that went long and your staff was extremely accommodating, understanding, and just great at everything they did for us, ensuring we had a great dinner and an even better dessert. The Lone Wolf is great. The staff and service is always excellent! The food is pretty incredible. The bacon wrapped shrimp & the... (16 oz!! OMG what?! Huge!) Ribeye (with mashed potatoes instead of a baked potato) would be my recommendations! The bar has awide array of both conventional & unconventional drinks & the wine list is decent. I usually get a margarita (not blended), myhusband had his blended - which I tried and both were excellent. The only reason for the 4 stars & not 5 is that the place isone of the few nice places to eat in the area and it's sort of small and sometimes difficult to get a same-day reservation sodepending on your plans make a reservation early if you can. I also think that the menu - while the food is excellent - could bea bit bigger with a wider array of options. Still one of the few nice restaurants to try if you are in the upper Sierras akaUpCountry. ???? Read more

Not a bad place. Food was pretty good over all. The Bacon Shrimp was the best.
