Hard to choose when you are in a new city and there are 5 Coney Island restaurants, but after careful review I chose Jackson... Coney Island. I had four different dogs, all were great and so were the French fries and the Coca Cola which ranked up therewith McDonald's quality coke! Staff was extremely friendly and the food was served quickly and hot. Also close to city centerand the train station if that is important to you for your visit. Read more
My wife and I came here to try a coney on a visit from Texas. The Coney?s were delicious. I just wish they were a bit hotter.... The fried mushrooms and French fries were good. Historic. The food is all pretty good here. They are the inventors of the Coney Dog, which is what came before the chili dog. If... you want to know what people ate in 1914, Jackson Coney Island still makes their Coney Dog the way it was when it was invented.The "sauce" is actually very finely ground cooked meat that's mild and has no tomato or liquid of any kind in it. My Golly! This place is good! We had a friendly work competition on who had better coney dogs, Jackson or Virginia? I won't... trash the competition as it's not needed because I have photos! My order was on time for pickup. The cashier was genuine. Cookseemed grumpy, but his food was awesome! It was 10 cents more for the same order here, but the food was 10 times asgood. Thanks you for a great experience! First photos are Jackson last photos are Virginia. You can tell how nicely the foodwas packaged. They also didnt wrap the fries in wax paper which makes for soggy fries. Read more
I just moved here from Wisconsin to work for an amazing company, with great luck I have to be stationed in Jackson Michigan... which is essentially down the road from Jackson Coney Island. They could tell I was new to their establishment, the young ladyat the front as well as the kitchen staff were incredibly kind. And holy cow they have breakfast all day long and it's flippingamazing all day long, go here go here go here! Get what you want but I recommend the biscuits and gravy, oh yeah! Read more
