The food was yummy. However, I'm big on customer service especially at restraunts with what I consider your average medium... priced food items at $30 and up. The front hostess was extremely nice. Our waiter was friendly too but not very attentive. Shekept disappearing. The manager "male" literally walked down our row TWICE and didn't stop to speak, engage with None of thetables. I visited the bar with my friend and we had the crab claws (fried and broiled) which were delicious. I can’t remember the... drink I had but it definitely had a lot of liquor. But then I really don’t drink much alcohol so any amount would be a lot forme! ???? Brittany was our server and she was wonderful! Great atmosphere and there was also live music. Love the atmosphere it was amazing and vibrant. The fried crab claws were so good. I also had the gumbo which was so meaty. The... lamb chop were tender and the scallops were so good. Everything was seasoned to perfection. My favorite were the friedartichokes, omg they melt in my mouth and taste so amazing. My personal experience at Char was delightful. The service was unmatched and the food held its own. My personal recommendation... would be the 20 oz Cowboy Ribeye and a Sweet Potato. We ordered almost every dessert on the menu and each one has its ownstrengths. The dessert that shined the most of the selection offered by Char was by far the Caramel Cheesecake. 5/5 stars forthe atmosphere, service and the quality of the food. I always have good experiences when I visit Char. I feel right at home, they really know how to make guest feel heard. I ordered... the wrong drink (my fault) and the waitress took it off and fixed me the correct one. I always get the glazed lamb and it isalways delicious. In town for business and needed a nice place to relax. This place topped my list of favorites! We had the special which was a... filet, crab cake and lobster. My husband took me here for my birthday and the night started off great. The guy doing security out front was very pleasant and... welcoming. We had reservations so we were seated immediately. Our waitress, Kathryn, was great the entire night. We ordered thefried green tomatoes and onion rings and they were hot and delicious. For our entrees, I ordered the lamb chops and my husbandordered the range chicken. The lamb chops weren’t tender at all. They were very tough and chewy so I switched with my husbandbecause I kept spitting it out. He said that there was barely any meat on it and there was a lot of fat. The chicken andpotatoes were ok. I loved the gray with the potatoes but I didn’t eat much of the chicken because it wasn’t what I wanted. For dessert we ordered the pecan pie. The pie was very yummy. It tasted like old fashioned pecan candy which I thought was veryunique because I’ve never known anyone to make the pie that way. Overall, I had a good dining experience but I gave thisrestaurant 3 stars because I was very disappointed with our main course.
