Absolutely loved the food and the feel of the restaurant. All kinds of neat historic old photos on the wall showcasing outdoor... activities of the season along with some old gear. Menu was simple at just one page front and back but had a nice variety oftastes and prices. Extensive drink menu. Dessert was awesome apple pie with a $1.50 up charge to make it a la mode with giantscoop of vanilla ice cream next to an already large squirt of cream. Read more

This is a nice place to dine at and stay the night. No fancy amenities, but the room was clean and cozy, the staff was very... friendly, and the prices were very cheap. As for the restaurant, I ordered the pan roasted statler chicken and it tastedexcellent. The chicken was very tender and cooked in a very juicy sauce. Various vegetables were also mixed in on the plate.There was also live music and a nice upbeat atmosphere. If you?re looking for a simple, cozy inn to stay the night and have agood bite to eat, then this is a good place for you. Read more
Made reservations for dinner in the dining room but arrived early on a beautiful evening. The host was great and moved us to a... table in the garden where we had a perfect evening listening to music while we ate a superb meal. Wow! The food was the best we had during the most recent week we spent in NH, the drinks were perfect, the staff is awesome and... the charm is amazing. For context, I travel a lot for work and have been to plenty of favorite restaurants in cities and placesoff the beaten path. I will be raving about this place forever!
