The first time I ate here was nice. Food was good with timely service. This most recent time was terrible! We were in a group... with reservations. Our food came out very disorganized and sporadic. One person still didn't have his food 20 minutes after therest of us had finished! My food was COLD even after I sent it back because it wasn't the right order! Terrible! Kind of sad. The staff was nice. It was pricey and the food was old fashioned. This place charges as much as a supper club and... tries to give the feel of upscale but it really isn't. Had an impossible time trying to get a reservation for Easter or Mother's Day. We went as walk ins for Mother's Day. It was... $72.00 for my husband and myself, mother of 4, grandmother of 16 and great grandma of 1. Our primary reason for going was theprime rib and shrimp. Well the prime rib was all well done, the "manager" even went in the back and came out saying all of theprime rib was well done, "that's how we cook it" the shrimp was mealy. Even the mashed potatoes and mac n cheese were tepid.The fried chicken was good and hot, but there were only wings and one drumstick available. We are on a fixed income and to goout to eat is a luxury. What a waste of money, I am so disappointed and disgruntled. We could have gone to Rafferty's wheretheir prime rib is medium rare, like it should be! Hard and expensive lesson to learn. Had a very good experience here. We wanted a nice dinner that wasn?t a chain restaurant and Twist delivered it all. We started... with the very tasty fried green tomatoes, then ribeye for me and shrimp and grits for my dad, then the delicious desserts -snickers pie (which was very good but prolly should be renamed to a turtle cheesecake) and the Jack Daniels Pecan Pie (lovedit). The food was all great, but my dad thought the shrimp and grits were lacking a bit of seasoning, but he wasn?tdisappointed. The staff was very friendly and attentive, we didn?t have too little or too much attention. And the place wasnicely decorated and very clean.
