My family loves going to Waffle House. However, this one is a joke. We was on south side so Just decided to go there but should... of went to north side. Waitress had an attitude, just seemed like she didn?t wanna be there. Menu was different then we usuallyget, so I guess I read it wrong but then when asked for my grits that I thought came with it was apparently a problem. When shewalked off to get it she said something I didn?t catch it but knew was about me. My husband who has hella patience and takes alot to annoy him. Was even offended by how I was treated. We just ate and left, I was so mad I wasn?t even gonna eat my food.Food was good except the grits that stuff was nasty and tasted funny. We will never return to this place. I?m a big believer intipping as we tip well however I will not tip someone who is rude to us. Also idk who the girl was that kept going behind thecounter and helping out the lady but she wasn?t even in uniform and shouldn?t of been back there Read more
My parents and I were pleasantly surprised. Our food was good, our server was polite and patient, our meals were served quickly.... Our waitress sat in the booth with someone who seemed to have vision impairment to take his order. Let me say, it was busy, butshe was so gracious. I wish I had gotten her name Read more
Very clean, they where welcoming and organized. I was greeted by many of the staff. My waiter he was excellent. I had no wait... time from the time I say down. My breakfast was very fresh and correctly prepared. Job well done!! This is the only waffle housethat I will eat at when I come into town. Read more
If you have a hankering for some good old breakfast classics like a waffle or a hashbrown bowl this is a great place to stop.... This visit was at around 8 and the place was packed, my party sat down at the last table available. The staff was friendly andquite attentive to both drinks and requests for sauces. Despite the crowd, my hashbrown bowl came out quickly and witheverything that I requested. They were well cooked and not as greasy as I expected them to be coming from a somewhat down homecooking establishment. They did not even leave an oily sensation on my pallet which I really enjoyed. The cost was well worththe hashbrown portion served and I have had their waffles before and they are also well sized. Probably the best Waffle House Ihave ever been to, so I would recommend them if you are in the mood for a classic breakfast. Read more
If you are looking for terrific service and great food that far exceeds today's ridiculous "settle for anything" appetite,... especially late night (which I think is past 8:00 pm in Jackson), then the Waffle House in South Jackson is the only place tofind. Both the Waffle House on Highland and the one on Carriage House just aren't even decent any more. If you can get pastthe service rolling their eyes at you, just because you walked in and actually wanted to eat, then you surely wouldn't be ableto put up with the attitude once that mouth opens. I will never eat at either one of the Waffle Houses in the "North." Mypartner and I are learning that we don't have to put up with being treated like an inconvenient burden for some immature,lackadaisical "worker" that has no interest in working at all in the first place. I, for one, refuse to pay for food cookedwithout the "love" that is amply displayed elsewhere, just a few miles down the road. Read more
**Let me preface by noting that our family doesn't live anywhere near a Waffle House, so we consider our visits there to be a... treat. That being said, our family LOVES going to Waffle House, & not just for breakfast either! We arrived here at about 6:45pmon a Monday night, & they weren't terribly busy. The restaurant & restrooms were clean & in good order. There were 3 otherpatrons eating when we arrived, & a few more came in while we were there. Our waitress was very friendly & she was quick to getour drink order. Our child stayed with her favorite- breakfast; she had the kids eggs & bacon with a side of hashbrowns. Sheloved it & ate every bite. My hubs went on to order the Cheesesteak Melt Hashbrown Bowl, while I had the Chicken Melt HashbrownBowl. Both of these meals were absolutely delicious! The chicken was fried & super tender. The servings were generous, & ourfood arrived hot. My daughter even enjoyed a few bites of my meal. ???????? The cook & waitress were the only employees at thistime, & they were operating like a finely tuned machine. Came all the way here from out North where I live just to find the store abandoned and coffee still on the burner. Really was... hoping for some Biscuits and Gravy and a Bacon Egg and Cheese. For a 24 hour store to have their door locked is a completebafflement to me. Read more
Michael was our server, he was the best server we've ever had of any waffle house we've eaten at. The food was served super fast... and fresh. Highly recommend stopping in and hopefully you get the joy of Michael as your server. Read more
