Started off with delicious grilled Wasabi elk and the restaurant won me over with my fiance plate of the roast rack of lamb.... That jalapeño mint sauce is definitely a new flavor for me. Definitely want the recipe on that. ... I got the huckleberryscallops which was still pretty good. But when I go again I'd get the rack of lambs instead. We came near closing so it was justus at the restaurant. When we entered there was some customers and they were raving about the food. And they weren'tkidding! ... When I'm in the area again later this year we will definitely put in a reservation! ... Update: Visited againrecently and still love the restaurant! Even when one of the dishes wasn't available they gave me my tiramisu on the house tomake up for it. Read more
Non-locals came here for our anniversary dinner. Huge mistake. Very difficult to understand how this place stays in business... unless it?s really just a locals spot and non-locals are encouraged to dine elsewhere. The staff was unbelievably rude from theminute we arrived. Good luck getting them to take your order. If you are lucky enough to get your order in, asking a questionabout the menu will no doubt make you feel like an inconvenience at best. Aside from the rude service team, it took 75 minutesbefore food was served, and it was basically a pile of brown food with brown goo sauce. Don?t understand the positive reviews,but the onion soup was good/that much is accurate. $300 tab for 2 and we had to leave to find another place to actually eat(shout out to Hotel Jackson for hearing about our experience and providing an unbelievable meal). I came by myself on a busy Saturday night and received outstanding service from Radu and the rest of the staff! I ordered both... the elk and the stuffed mushroom appetizers, followed by the rack of lamb entree. Everything lived up to its name; I absolutelyLOVE lamb, and this is the best that I have had so far. Definitely stop by after visiting Teton or Yellowstone! Read more
The patio is facing a park which is nice. The service was good. We had grilled Elk, lamb and the scallops, food are all... reasonable good. Only one thing: both of the wine glasses we got have large areas of stains on them, hope this can be improvedin the future. Read more
Very nice spot. Cozy, very good service and friendly waiter. Answered all my questions and gave a great suggestion. Food was... delicious we enjoyed it all. The guitar player was also really good and played beautiful melodies. We had a Great experience. Read more

While on our trip, we ate a lot of lamb. One of the best lamb racks is the one at The Blue Lion (it was suggested by a local... here in Jackson). Portion to price is very palatable. The crust on the perfectly cooked lamb rack adds a sweet note to it. Itmakes it sing. For a starter, we ordered duck cakes. Delish. The French onion soup was tasty and even though I'm not a saladperson, even the salad was yummy. The service was great. Our server was a very down-to-earth fella. We enjoyed chatting withhim. Wonderful restaurant, great service and food. We had stuffed mushrooms which were very flavorful, my wife had the salmon... which was excellent and I chose the rack of lamb which was the best I've ever experienced.
