Ordered a panini and it wasn?t pressed on panini grill. Horrible!
The restaurant itself was nice and clean, huge space and looked good. But the pizza was frozen crust, the sauce is way too sweet... and it seems like they just dumped a pile of Italian seasoning on top of it. You can get a frozen pizza that?s much better. My wife and I have become regulars at Brucci's, and I am giving it 5 stars, although it is a split 4/5 decision. 1) The XXL... Cheese Pizza is outstanding, very close to genuine New York slices. (We lived our entire lives there, until we retired.) We areconvinced that this particular pie is different than their regular versions, because the crust is so thin. We get it on Mondaynights, as the daily special. 2) Don't feel the same way about the dinners, because of the so-called Marinara sauce. The saucehas only one flavor note, and that note is"metallic" (too acidic?) Are they buying canned tomatoes or sauce that is tinny, orare they overcooking it in-house? Either way, they could do so much better, I think. Tempted to bring them a sample of how greatsauce tastes, but they must know it already, right? 3) The "kids" who work here always are attentive and pleasant. The ambianceis getting shopworn, but I kind of like that in my pizzeria. A go-to place for us, so please address the marinarasauce? This was our first visit. The place is nice and clean. The waitress greeted us at the door. We picked our own seats. We had not... had breakfast or lunch so we decided to get an early supper. It was around 4pm on a Saturday. We were the only dine in customersuntil an older couple came in later on. We ordered the oven baked wings and a 16 inch Italian pizza. The wings were very good.Cooked to have the perfect crunch. We waited a very long time for our pizza. When it finally came they had made a 12 inch. Thewaitress said they were cooking another 12 inch for us. Evidently there was a shift change and our order was messed up. Ourfirst 12 inch was not super hot. It had been sitting around waiting in the carry out section for a while. It was good pizzaalbeit a little cool. The 2nd pie was hot but we were already running late so we had to take it to go. Delicious????????Italian????????food is located at Brucci's! The?????????servers are very nice and quick, and the... cooks?????????do an amazing job of preparing????fresh authentic Italian food. Great great service, went in for a couple of slices of pepperoni and they had a great special going on 2 slices and drink for... $6. Wasn't overly greasy and it came out right away. The bartender was very pleasant and made sure my drink was always full,I'm not sure of her name but she was blonde and very pleasant. The overall cleanliness of the place was top notch. Also foundout they do an open Mic night of Friday and Saturday so if you get a chance please go in and grab a slice you won't bedisappointed! Read more

I can truly say that the pizza served here is absolutely deliciousand comparable to what can be found in Italy. The pizza slices are generously sized, fresh, and reasonably priced. The toppingchoices are phenomenal! What an incredibly expansive and diverse selection! Anytime I visit family in Jacksonville, I alwaysmake a conscious effort to dine here.
