What a random date night find! Just a trip to the town center to buy some books at second and Charles and wow! A place my wife... and I had not been to yet. Chuy's, which I honestly thought was a resurrection of Chevys until I got close enough to realize Iwas reading it wrong. Nonetheless, I was ready for Tex-Mex and hell yes I got Tex-Mex! The place was eclectic and wild. See mypictures. Cathy, who waited our table was wonderful and gave the experience even more charm. The food was delicious. We both gotburritos. I the chicken and my wife the fajita. HUGE is an understatement. We both left with plenty left over and full bellies. We managed to also get seated and eat incredibly fast for a town center Saturday night dinner. Just wonderful. I wanted a shirtbut held back. I will come back and get that shirt and bring others who know not of this delectable dinner spot. Much recommend. Read more

What a Gem!!! The food is fantastic. Our meals offered plenty of flavor, spice, and a wonderful contrast of hot & cold in the... same bite! This location is definitely in the saved re-run list. Our visit was around 8pm on a weekday...shortly beforeclosing. There was no crowd, only a few other patrons inside on our visit. There was a small staff covering all thetables...our server was a mix of people including the bartender...the service was not lacking...everyone was friendly andpitched in to help! Our wait for food was a little bit lengthy for a not so busy time. We ordered an appetizer to go with thecomplementary chips and salsa. This location was clean and tidy showing nothing in need of repair...although it would be hardto spot as the decoration style would camouflage it ;). There is a large outdoor seating area available that is close to thesame size as available inside seating. We were a party of four with one herbivore and three carnivores, and the menu offeredplenty of choices for all of us . We ordered four different entrees, and with sides our entire table came to life! Our tablewas a food party, as it was filled with a colorful variety of foods and dips-from my experience this is the pattern of manyLatino food eateries ;) so if you are hungry Latino is a great choice. This location is in the heart of the St John's Towncenter shopping district...great for those evening date nights or a bite to eat after a long day of shopping. Easy to find anda short jog from the expressway. This location had plenty of parking, but no recommendation for large trucks with trailers orRV's. Our meals were fairly priced-about 10-15 per person. I felt the appetizer - a bowl of queso dip - was a bit pricey forwhat it was, but it felt justifiable for the amount of chips and salsa that was complementary. If you're on a budget when theserver asks casually if you would like a bowl of queso or guac...pay attention ;). Overall the value-food-service ratio Read more

Disappointing. They have & unique take on tex-Mex, too spicy salsa & too spicy refried beans. Enchilada was mostly onion & green... pepper slices with an interesting queso/tomato sauce. The queso for chips has meat in it. No coke from Mexico. Staff was nice, food not so much. In fact gave me indigestion. Lips were burning, too, like they do when the food has MSG. Read more

First visit. Cool decor and vibe. Service was good. Food tasted good. Steak burrito was fantastic. Don't miss the hatch green... chili. We were too full for dessert, but maybe next time. There are plenty of great Mexican places around,, and even a fewTexMex, but Chuy's is worthy of a visit. We will be back. Read more

Let me begin by saying that our server, Emily, was delightful and attentive. We started the meal with guacamole that was... delicious BUT... It came in a bowl that was over half filled with lettuce! At $8, I expect more than a thin layer of guacamoleover a layer of lettuce stuffing. The menu entry says nothing about that. The iced tea was good, real brewed tea... That matterswhere I'm from. My main course was a beef burrito with Boom Boom sauce. It was good, but not amazing. A little too much salt.Desert was a generous slice of tres leches cake. Let me tell you, that cake was on point! The cake and Emily's service savedthis from being a two star review. edited for grammar. Read more
