Terrific breakfast spot in Jacksonville. Outstanding service, you order and pay though a QR code. Plenty of people to assist... and make you feel like your at home. Decided to go check this place out based on the reviews. First off, for a Sunday brunch at 11:00, there is plenty of street... parking , and no wait. Maybe that should have been my first flag. The place is eclectic in decor and clean. While the chalkboardhas what appears to be specialty coffee drinks, they offer brewed bottomless coffee that is self serve. If they had a barista ,this place would be packed. The staff was friendly , attentive and overall efficient. One reviewer reported the best brunch inJax another raves about the pancakes. We are breakfast people & love a great well cooked breakfast. Breakfast is the mostdifficult meal to serve and has the most alterations The eggs ordered over medium were (& often are) over easy. We typicallyorder an additional egg or two but @ $2.99 each we opted out. We were glad we we recieved our orders the eggs were small, verylittle white. Bacon on my cool moose breakfast was ordered cooked well and dry. Arrived very greasy and so thin it wastransparent. I requested extra napkins to blot the grease off. My partners whole wheat toast was so thin. My English muffin wassmall and orange from the spread that they put on. I am a real butter for my meals out. This cafe offers margarine. My mistakewas not asking in advance.The pancakes were flat and just okay. The syrup was in a plastic cup and my guess was fake. I did nottry is but it came at the same time as my margarine cups. The menu did not state real maple syrup or butter. I requested mycheese grits in advance, they arrived right away, lumpy and cold. Bottomless coffee was $3.00 self serve. No sugar or spoons areon the tables. Figured out why patrons were using paper cups with lids. It was to keep it warm. I had to give my grit spoon tomy partner who was using a knife to stir sugar into the not hot okay coffee. If initially you got your own then the staffoffered refills the price might not be so bad. This place is adorable! They have a self serve coffee bar with hot coffee, pretty darn good bagels, and amazing service. They... even gave us free muffins because it was me and my mom?s first time there ???? they were so buttery and delicious! We will beback ???? Read more
If you love breakfast then this place is for you. So friendly and the food is outstanding. The coffee bar is cool and the warm... muffins to start let you know from the start that you made a good choice. The breakfast Quesadilla is unique the chicken &waffles is on point. We had the biscuits & gravy on the side and it may have been the best thing we ate. This is a top choiceplace. Read more
Have had this place on my radar to check out based on all the other great reviews and wasn't disappointed! Matter of fact,... blown away by their "team" concept of service, anyone of staff can assist you! Genius! If you need something just ask! Theycontinually check on food and top off your drinks, coffee is self service so that frees them up for the more importantitems. The Food. Nice variety and choices, went for breakfast with my College aged daughter ordered the Big Breakfast with 2pancakes, home fries, sausage, eggs and bacon!! Side order of gravy biscuits. We split it and couldn't finish it all off. Thepic is just the leftovers! We went early, little before 9am and everyone was delightful. Great food, great atmosphere, great service! We went for breakfast Saturday morning. There were a lot of customers, but we got a... table very quickly. The service was outstanding - all servers working all tables. So, our order was taken promptly. One of themtold us her faves! We received our food pretty quickly also. It was hot, so it was made to order. We also got a free grilledblueberry muffin for being first-timers. It was delicious! I definitely recommend going. We will be going back...maybe forlunch. Cute place located a few blocks past Riverside. The customer service is good, the food options are delicious, and overall it's a... quaint restaurant with feel good menu choices. I'd never heard of chorizo scrambled cheese eggs between a crispy seasonedtortillas topped with house made green salsa, paired with rice and beans and fried plantain.
