Having grown up in Tampa,I have had the opportunity to experience top notch Cuban food.Been in Jax almost 5 years and finally... got to try Havana Jax.What an amazing experience, 5 stars all across the board.The very eloquent and courteous staff,phenomenalfood,the ambience of the atmosphere, all at a very fair price. Cuban sandwiches are good but not the best in Jax. The flavor was lacking that normal punch of mustard and pickles. If you are... looking for a large sandwich, this is the place, nice large size, cones with chips, at a moderate price. I expected it to becooked more like a panini. Service was good. Read more
First pic with food was amazing; everything was fresh and amazing. Minus one star because of the second picture which is 2nd... empanada i ate later and the meat tasted and smelled spoiled. I could not eat it and didn’t want a refund. Read more
Almost $40 for this misery. I called ahead of time to ask if the plates were well served, like in other good cuban restaurants.... The lady on the phone assured me the steak would be thick and well served. My girlfriend received a decent size (in length)steak but this is like a thin steak from Walmart, $5. Not a sirloin or anything good for such outrageous price. On the otherplate the steak wasn't even the size of my girlfriend's hand. From someone who has lived in Miami, these prices are not worthwhat you get. You can go to Publix and have a well served meal with pork, congri, and yuca for $7. This is overpriced and lowquality. The beans were the only thing that tasted good. Meat had no taste. The plantains were not fresh. Rice was mid. I wanta refund. Read more
WOW. The food was Amazing! I loved the waiter (older gentleman). Empanada was very delicious, with the pickled onions. Wasnt too... enthralled with the ham croquetas. Best Cuban sandwich I've ever had. Perfect proportion ratio of pickle and mustard, wasnt toomuch. Sangria was good. This will definitely be my new spot! I'm excited to check out the club part. I had the opportunity to meet Ms Cynthia, Wow how impressive she immediately greeted us and invited us to a table... and offered us a drink My husband loves "micheladas " Unfortunately is not something you can find on the menu However MsCynthia when that extra mile and offered to try and make him what he wanted , And ahe did and it came up so perfect , SoHavana Jax owner You need to add the Cynthia's michelada just a humble note ????
