Used to be a big fan of this place, but the newer servers have really dropped the ball lately. Came tonight and the place was... not busy. Maybe ten people in here? Had to ask for straws twice. No big deal? But then my salad was more like soup as there wastwice as much dressing as there was actual salad?the waitress delivered my clear soup with her thumb in it?and to top it off,when I brought to her attention that there was a black hair in my son?s sushi (I?m bald, he?s blonde) she carried it off andpromptly brought me my bill with said sushi roll still on the bill. Hate seeing this place go downhill. Not much to choose fromout this way to begin with, but I?m scratching this spot off my list of options. Read more
Bland unappealing food. Tastes and looks like cafeteria food. They give a decent amount at least.
I see many top ratings for Hokkiado, but my visit was a tad bit underwhelming. I want to start off by saying the ambiance was... very nice and appealing. However... While the patrons I happened to be with enjoyed their dinners with 4-5* quality, my mealcame out beautiful, but cold. The chicken was tough like it was rushed to be cooked. I had a chicken hibachi plate with filet.The filet was perfect, however. For the price, the plate received was relatively small compared to standard hibachigrill/entertainment fare. The host graciously asked if I would like the plate REMADE. I accepted and not 2 minutes later, didanother plate arrive. Now, I am not accusing the business of just sliding the food onto another plate and microwaving, but Ihave done so enough time to know when this is happening and in my strong opinion, it is.I still was not satisfied and still paidfor the meal as I don't run out on bad meals. I may give Hokkiado another shot in the future, but for now, I will stickwith.Wasabi's. Read more
This was our first time here at Hokkaido! It was delicious. We tried their new ramen soup & some sushi rolls. It was very yummy... & a clean restaurant. The indoor Christmas decor was refreshing & the restrooms were clean. We enjoyed the service & all theemployees were VERY nice & hospitable! My son made a mess eating his rice & they were super nice about cleaning it. I'm verythankful for great service & care of their customers. Thank you & Merry Christmas! We will be visiting again. We spent about$30-$35 for the soup & sushi dinner roll special. Read more
I?ve been going here since they opened and the place has gone down hill lately, thin cuts of fish, almost non visible... ingredients in sushi rolls. I?ve been eating sushi for 20+yrs and last weekend I order a tricolor sashimi from them. I was giventhe wrong fish and told that I was the one who was mistaken. They didn?t even try to fix their mistake. Read more
