Called in for a delivery order on 8-25-22. All I wanted was the two large two topping pizza with bread sticks and a drink deal.... The lady on the phone was super rude. Told me they don't offer that and it's only 2 larger one topping pizza. Told her thattheir website clearly states the 2 large two topping pizza and bread sticks with a drink for 32.99. She said she didn't carewhat the website says. Okay false advertising. I'll just get the deal with one topping. After she rung it up she said my totalwas $55. I asked her how since the deal was for 32.99 which I calculated the tax and delivery fee. Still didn't add up to theamount. She hung up on me after asking how that could be possible. Worst food ever! Cheesy bread was mush not cooked all the way but the outside was burnt! Never got any of our sauces even when... we called back to tell them we didn?t get sauces! We love Hungry Howes but this was the worst ever! Read more
Would give negative stars if I could. Ordered pizza at 742, call at 854 pizza hasn't even hit the oven yet. Told us an ETA was... another hour. They are short staffed. OK not my problem. As soon as you see an order hit the system and you knoenyour shortstaffed, CALL THE CUSTOMER. NOTIFY THEM. Telling me to cancel.my order. Your staff is going to run that place into the ground. We've been eating Hungry Howie's for 25 plus years. Always loved it. The store on the north side of Jacksonville off New Berlin... has been our spot for the last 7 of those years. Sure, they may leave some dipping sauces off the delivery or a drink from timeto time, but generally, they're pretty good. Not tonight. I'm not the type to complain about a food order, but I couldn't bitemy tongue tonight. Both pizzas and the 3 cheese bread were burnt past the point of consumption. Plus, they forgot my 2 liter andgarlic butter sauce. The wings were the only thing they got right. I called the store and the sweet young lady told me she boxedit up and it wasn't burnt, and offered me a credit for only the cheese bread. I asked her what we were supposed to eat fordinner and she didn't care. They ended up offering a credit for 1 pizza and the bread, but couldn't deliver it tonight. It was a"future credit". When she said she could make the food and I could come pick it up, I asked if I would get my delivery feerefunded? That was a hard "no". After some colorful antics on my part, she hung up. Am I wrong in thinking they should fix theproblem now? Is a little customer service too much to ask? Food is good? Just whenever I get it delivered it?s always room temperature. Not to mention the other day I had to wait... literally two hours for them to deliver my pizza five minutes away? Every single time I get this pizza delivered it takes overeight hour, because they send their delivery drivers out with 5+ orders and the first order is always last for some reason itseems. I feel like if they really cared about this business they would be more professional and higher semi professionalemployers. Food is good, but service is absolutely terrible! Best pizza ever. FAST forward 2022. I'm heartbroken, small franchises lost the decent employees that had standards and that... took pride in themselves and the food they were providing. Post covid employees are rude, unprofessional and are detrimentalto the success of this business. They understand the that the owner has to hire them because of the labor shortage. Very sad! Both the manager on duty and two cooks walked out quitting their jobs, leaving the cashier and driver to fend for... themselves with a lobby of customers and online orders to complete today. As a result, the cashier had a panic attack sufferingwith breathing issue due to the stress of having to explain to customers their orders were not and will not be filled. Duringthe chaos, you can hear Hungry Howie?s corporate office on the phone not providing any assistance to the remaining staff, otherthan advising them to ?contact the owner? Within the last two years I?ve witnessed this location?s performance and customerservice go downhill. Additionally, every time I?ve picked up my order, you can hear the employees? negative satisfaction withowner(s) and also overhearing the chatter of working at that location being less than pleasant.
