I give four stars it would have been five. I had burnt ends a few years back from this same restaurant and they were great. The... ones I had recently were very salty I couldn't eat them but the turkey was good. The greens were good, I wasn't a fan of thepotato salad and baked beans. The banana pudding was very very good. I love the food but the service is horrible and after three failed attempts to patronize this business, I have given up. I won't... be back. If there is a long line to wait to be seated behind folks only waiting to pick up food, that's a problem. Also, theydon't greet you or let you know it will be a minute to get to you. I don't see this location lasting much longer. I went in at 6:00 p.m. after placing an online order. There was only one table... seated. My order was ready but I had to wait 5 minutes for somebody to come out of the back of the restaurant. Then I had towait a couple more minutes while she tried to figure out why she couldn't charge me (I had already paid online). Then after Igot home and settled in with my order I discovered that it was missing utensils (ordering app asked if I wanted them, I saidyes) and another thing was wrong ( I asked for no jalapenos, but got them anyway). Mojo bbq is a solid choice among a few places for flavorful bbq. Their brisket is moist and a good bark. I do like the dry rub... ribs, turkey, and don't sleep on the deep fried smoked wings. Their non bbq dishes are always a pleasant surprise, from thecatfish to the chicken fried chicken with gravy. Portions are large enough for two and the cream gravy is enough for two largepieces. My fav side is smoked corn but other country sides are substantial and flavorful that you can have an entree of just 4sides of you want. I'd go back again. Service is always pleasant and attentive. We love Mojo?s BBQ and always try to go when we are in the area. The food is always amazing and the service is usually amazing... also. Unfortunately last night the older male server was not in the best mood and was extremely rude throughout the entireexperience. I wish I had some cash on hand to tip the other female server to at was not waiting on us but very kind and polite.We still tipped our rude server 20% hoping to make the rest of his night better but wouldn?t want to have him again. YES! I was in Jacksonville on business and had a craving for some BBQ and STOKED that I found this place! I'm originally from... NY, so certainly not a BBQ connoisseur by any stretch of the imagination, but this still has to be among the best BBQ that I'vehad, and great portions for the price paid. My husband and I were looking for something different for dinner we came across this place. The food was tasty there onion rings... were big and tasty the meats were delicious the chilli had a spicy kick to it. My wife and I ate at Mojos for lunch. The staff especially Joey were friendly and attentive. My husband ordered the country... fried chicken with creamy gravy, corn grits, and Mac-n-cheese. I ordered the 2 meat (brisket and pulled pork), Mac-n-cheese andsmoked corn. We had the burnt brisket ends for an appetizer. All of the food was fabulous.
