Ordered over $200 worth of food for a birthday party. Food was picked up by my parents. Food arrived and we were missing 3 sides... of stuffed plantains and the chimichurri I ordered. Mistakes happen I get it, they said they would prepare them for us. Mysister who was driving through on the way to our home stops and picks them up (crisis averted). Problem is they get here andthey've made them incorrectly. We paid for (and also reiterated when we called) 3 stuffed plantains with guava and cheese. Theyget here and there is no guava. Called back again to inform them. Person who answered seemed uninterested and rushed off thephone. Don't think we'll be ordering from them again. Read more

Ok this place is not an everyday place for this girl but my goodness when I go I am so very happy! Not even sure where to... begin.. sat down to mint infused water.. ordered the wine based pina colada and it was so satisfying. Went with a larger groupand everyone ordered different things. Not a disappointment on the food at all! I decided on the Salento Combination and everybite was just wonderful. Service was spot on.. they make you feel like family and the atmosphere is so warm and inviting. Wouldnever know it was in an older strip mall on Old St. Augustine Road! Loved loved loved this place! The only reason for a 4 star instead of 5 was because we waited for over an hour to get seated and... the young man that was the seating host was less than enthusiastic about helping us or giving us updates on our seatingturn. We ended up sitting at the bar and the staff there was definitely more approachable and accommodating. We ordered ourfood at the bar but a gentleman? I believe he was one of the Managers, came up right before we got our food and asked us if wepreferred a table and immediately sat us at one. He made sure that whatever we needed we got. Loved it! The food? my goodness!A Colombian dream feast! We shared a platter that was everything it promised and more! The drinks were amazing and the ambiancefelt like a comfy visit home. The servings were more than enough and then some and worth re-experiencing the next day. Thiswill definitely make my list of places to revisit the next time I?m in town. Read more

I can't believe we have been missing out on this gem of a restaurant! We visited for the first time tonight (01/21/22) and are... so mad at ourselves for not visiting sooner. The service was nothing short of amazing, food was perfectly grilled, prices aregood and atmosphere pleasant. We had empanadas as an appetizer, beer, two steak and onion dinners, a dessert and with a generoustip still only spent $70. This is definitely going to be our newest favorite restaurant to visit in Mandarin! Read more
Salento Steakhouse delivered a great experience for our party of 2. Steaks were a great cut and cooked perfectly. While the... outside may look different from the typical nice restaurant, it did not disappoint. I would gladly eat here again. Read more
