First time coming to this location. The staff was super friendly, the store was clean, the food was cooked perfectly, and the... cooks washed their hands anytime they left the cook station and came back (the last few locations didn't do this). I will never go to Waffle House again! The first time I went I felt like I was in a bar with loud music which actually I... enjoyed. I was totally ignored. I finally left. I went again today again ignored so I called out are you open? And at the sametime one person said yes and the other said no. So I left. The manager stopped me and went back in. The cashier was totally rudeand everybody was annoyed that I ordered two sandwiches. The cook was very nice the manager was actually very nice. I got a freewater. Anyway somebody was mumbling about the white old lady. So I said I think you guys need training on customer service. Thelittle cashier girl tried to chase me out of the store again the manager stopped her. I've never been in a more rude racistrestaurant in my life! And I am a server. I would not complain I know everybody has a bad day I sure have! But I want to knowtwice both times bad experience but I have to say the food was not bad. Read more
Waffle House always been my son?s and I favorite place to eat while traveling, well the habit extended and now I eat everyday... breakfast. This particular one at 103rd street in Jacksonville Florida is by far the most cozy and happy that I?ve never been,employees are courteous and very attentive, they enjoy working there, which makes me very comfortable. They greet you with asmile, and always busy doing something. I want to congratulate the manager for keeping this place so comfortable to stay. Read more
I like waffle house especially on late nights after work...I went in about 1230 am ...I got my order but during time of making... it the cook complained about having to make the biscuits and gravy. Something about the day shift should have made it fir thenight shift. The cook asked the waiter why did you tell them we had biscuits and gravy....there were a lot of people behind thecounter but only a few where actually doing something alot of talk and complaining. What happen to respect to thecustomer....they don't seem to be very happy about giving service to the customers...we the customer are the reason you have ajob without us you would not be open...the waiter who waited on me was very pleasant . But the kitchen help was not somuch...the gravy was clumpy and not very flavorful it's like the food reflected the feeling of the cook....just saying....wafflehouse you are better than this... Yes I was actually there. Being a line cook I like places I can see people cooking. Just like it, no real solid reason. I will... also not eat at this location. I walked in the place was filthy. Smelled like garbage, and body odor. Then the nice lady decidedlying about the condition of the store was smart. Ok....They were all prepping for the day. But nothing could be cooked theyweren't open. They had a fire on the grill. With nothing on......you get my point. Bunch of folks didn't show up on time andinstead of accountability. They lie to people and then....nothing changes. So...the only thing changing. my first time became mylast time. Hope you get that fire hazard taken care of!! Read more
Hurts me to rate Waffle House so low but this location has terrible cooks. Burnt has brown and they were cold my sandwich only... had meat on 1 half and they a scrambled my egg when I ordered it over easy. SMH. Roosevelt location much better Read more
I had the burger with hashbrowns. The burger was delicious! I don't like hashbrowns but these were so good. There is complete... transparency here. Your order is cooked right in front of you od you sit at the counter. Taxes are already included in the pricebut the meals dont come with Drinks. The reason for the 4 stars instead of 5 is because the restaurant could use some cleaning.But i do recommend! Read more
2nd visit and both fantastic! Really, really fantastic! I had Valeria 1st and Latrell today. They were on it with their service!... And the cooks...finally found a place where over medium comes out exactly as suppose too! As far as cooks, Dianne is amazing!!Latrell too! Couldn't have asked for better experience both times! After a few bad experiences else where we almost quit going,thank goodness for this one. Running like perfection! Corporate take notice!! Read more
