First time visiting. Came for the Monday night endless wings for $15.99. Around 7pm not too crowded. We were seated in the... back area & I noticed right away that there were a few flies flying around a few landed on my straw in my water. Also, it wasuncomfortably hot even with the manual air purifier/fan they had there. 3rd reason my 0stars is the restriction to Tae leftoverwings home. After having a few wings I wanted to take the rest home and I was not allowed to do that accordingly to management.I will not return nor will I recommend. Read more
The ambiance is warm. Service was friendly, service with a bright smile and great suggestions. To start we had Peppered Seared... If you're looking for something more upscale than the many chain restaurants in Jacksonville, this is worth considering. This... place has been open for many years, and has a sports bar on one side and a comfortable restaurant on the other. They offer awine list when you come in. From the time we were seated, our server Heidi was more than excellent. Both of us worked many yearsin service & hospitality, and she is the person we would use as an example of how to treat customers. The other severs weobserved were all as efficient from what we saw. We started with the crab dip. It contained cream cheese and 2 other cheeses andwas very light. For the main course we had Shrimp & Grits and Beef Tips. Both were good, and made in a unique way. The sauce forthe shrimp was dark and spicy, and the beef was Cajun style over spaghetti and a rich beef sauce. I loved this place. This place is a local favorite and I quickly saw why. The atmosphere is a nice, cozy, intimate dark and... warm. The food and drink are great. And the wait staff was excellent. You might need reservations, but you should be able tofind close parking. They were out of Macallan 18 when I visited this time, but they have a decent Scotch list otherwise. Read more
