Came here tonight for the first time. Called ahead to make sure they were open since another seafood place down the road wasn't.... It was phenomenal. I haven't had good seafood with flavor in a long time. Came in and there were four staff at the front door.No host stand, so it was slightly confusing. We sat at the front. The chairs and booth seats were comfortable. I loved theatmosphere and the decor. There was a giant fish tank in the middle of the restaurant too. I looked at the menu before going soI knew exactly what I wanted. I ordered the seafood boil with water. It had one rack of crab, lots of shrimp and sausage, potatoes and corn. There was so much food I couldn't finish it. My daughter had the kids fried shrimp and french fries withsprite. My friend had the pan seared chicken pasta. It was very enjoyable. The food came out super fast, especially with howmany people were there. I filled out the comment card they had in the bucket on the table, which was super convenient since Ialready do reviews anyway. I gave it to the manager and he had me fill out the back to get meal discounts too since I would liketo come back and get the $6.99 sushi on Tuesdays. The restroom was clean when I went to wash my hands also. Definitely going tobe my go to spot to eat when I'm in the Jax beach area. Read more

Pretty good but the St Augustine location was better food. The guac was watery and drink didn't taste like there was any... alcohol. Austin provided quick service. Read more

After exploring Downtown Jax with family, we stopped at this hip seafood restaurant in Jacksonville Beach! The menu is... moderately large, it?s four pages long with a lot of delicious and healthy options to choose from!! For an appetizer, we had thefried avocado with Salt Life?s famous Shack sauce!!! It was absolutely toothsome!! For me, I had southern-fried shrimp, withFrench fries that came with the Shack sauce and I mixed ketchup into that sauce and it was so good!!!!! Honestly, the food ismade with plenty of love and all those who work and are super friendly and are extremely happy that they work at therestaurant!! From walking in to walking out, I highly guarantee that you will not be disappointed at all!!!!???????? Read more

Food was very good. The Spicy Poke bowl was on point, the Calamari was breaded and fried perfectly, not too greasy. Cocktails... were good. Very satisfied Read more

Cool atmosphere and super friendly service! The drinks are delicious, the ahi appetizer was awesome. After that it went... downhill super fast. It?s not vegetarian friendly which I didn?t expect snd I accept that. The fish tacos were supremelyunderwhelming, pretty much no flavor, the slaw was basically wet cabbage. The prices are way too high for this quality offood. If you are looking for a decent appetizer and delicious drinks this is your jam! If you are out for dinner pick somewhereelse. We still enjoyed it overall. Read more

Food has always been fresh & service excellent. Decor is coastal & whimsical. I like wide open spaces & bright happy places. I... do not enjoy eating in dark restaurants that feel like a dark closet in the middle of the day, as many others do. This is arestaurant that offers comfortable room to breathe with great natural lighting! There is also a great covered patio withcomfortable seating! Read more

Just finished up a fabulous dinner at Salt Life Food Shack, our first time & it was flawless. Their clam chowder isn't what... this former Bostonian would call "New England" style, but it was absolutely delicious, flavorful, a teeny bit spicy and loadedwith clams & diced potatoes. Totally craveable, l'll order it every time. I ordered the Crab-Topped Grouper with vegetables, hubs ordered the Boca Style Grouper. The grouper isn't local, and I appreciate our awesome server (Marlie) being honest whenasked fresh or frozen, but tasted just as good, both were large portions, thick, juicy & flaky. Really, really great 1stimpression, we're already looking forward to going back. Read more
