The food was decent. For the price they do skimp you a little. We did have some leftovers but were definitely not good the next... day. The service was null and void after we ordered and sat down. Had to ask for stuff they forgot and for boxes had to ask forthem as well. Read more

What happened to this place. It was one of my go to places before covid. Now that the virus has subsided I feel they are not... returning to normal operations for the sake of increased profits. No servers, increased prices on sides and get it yourselfdrinks, butter, salt & pepper etc. Cracker Barrel right down the street has a full staff on board. With the reduction of staffexpenses it makes one wonder why also the increase in prices. I ordered an additional slice of Texas toast( a slice of bread)for which I was charged $2.00. They must be paying $40.00 a loaf to settle on that price. The food tasted fine and the oneperson working the counter, bringing out the food and busing was nice. My daughter had the rib tips and BBQ beef and I has just rib tips. Beef was good but the rib tips were dry and chewy. Cole slaw... was soupy. The beans and corn muffins were good though. I don't think we'll go back. Read more
Review date: 9.20.2022 Needed to give one star for review! Stopped to eat Hickory Chicken Sandwich and did not receive any... "spicy Hell-Fire Pickles". I asked an employee why I did not receive any spicy Hell-Fire Pickles, and the response was "they donot come with your meal". This is a restaurant that is unfortunately being run into the ground by management. I was notimpressed with the ordering, seating yourself, and filling your own drinks. I did leave a tip for the workers because there wasonly a few people at the restaurant between 5-6 pm the day I visited 8.3.2022. I have been to numerous Famous Dave locations inIllinois and Wisconsin and this location is the worst I've visited. I travel for work and have the opportunity to visit manyrestaurants and hotels. You will never wait for a table here. Management: Customers will pay the proper price for proper foodand service. You are not competing with Hardee's and Applebee's. I've been in Wisconsin almost a year and have done many reviews but this place Famous Dave's @ the Janesville location. Was the... tastiest mouthful I have encountered so far.. We enjoyed service, waitress and especially the Food and cocktails. I will bereturning most definitely???? Read more
