Food was awesome, I'm from Texas and this was as close as I have gotten to my favorite BBQ joint back home. The sauce was a bit... sweeter and more ketchup based, but the chicken was perfect and the portion sizes were generous. We had to wait a few minutesfor them to clean a table, but once seated the service was perfect. She was attentive and incredibly gracious! Would definitelygo back. Read more
We had a fantastic lunch here while driving through. It was very busy but the service was spot on and served by a friendly... staff. Having grown up with more TX and KC bbq I have had some "adjusting" to do as a new resident of AL. So far this was thebest we have had that gave us that "aaah bbq" experience. We went to try the place since we had never been in one, the food was okay but the service was horrible. We had 5 different... couples come in after us and got their meal before us. We were told they were out of ribs when we saw several orders come outafter we already ordered. When we did finally get our food it wasn?t correct. The waitress had duplicated her last order asours so now we are having to wait even longer. When we complained , the lady manager got loud with my husband when we were justtrying to figure out where our order is and why the staff can?t communicate to us. I get a lot of places are short staff, butthis was just bad service and had nothing to do with short staff. We will never go back after this. Read more

Walking in at Jim n' Nick's, there was no hostess at the door and after stand there for about 2 minutes a girl I'd seen that I... think was helping clean tables came up and went over the list of things that they were out of, which included beef and turkeyso, wanting beef I asked if they had steak. She said yes so I agreed and she got me seated. The service was decent. The steakcame with side salad and baked potato. All in all the meal was just okay but there was nothing to rave about. Price was around$25 which isn't bad for a steak dinner, but I wouldn't have wanted to pay more. The downside was that when I asked for salt formy salad and baked potato I was told that they were out of that too. I rated this place with only 3 stars because of everythingthey didn't have, I mean seriously a restaurant with no salt? I would probably give the place another try and update my reviewif things seemed better on the second trip. Read more
I ordered a pulled pork sandwich combo with macaroni and cheese for a side for me and my daughter to have a nice meal this... evening, and this is what I get when I paid for it. A knuckle of pork and the rest is fat and giblets. Horrible quality for apremium price. If you want to feed your family a nice meal this is not the place to stop. Read more
My overall experience was nice. Our server was quick to refill tea and prompt with taking our orders. The food was brought out... quickly and the presentation was supper. The prime rib tasted amazing as well as the potato was cooked perfectly. The only issueI seemed to have was the food was a tad cold upon arrival. Will definitely visit again soon. Read more
This place was really really good! Potato Salad just the way I make at home (maybe a little better). Collards perfect, not over... cooked and seasoned beautifully. Corn seasoning was good. Generous portions. Took some pork home for sandwiches tomorrow.Everyone really needs to try this place. Be patient with the wait staff. They are short handed but the ones there are workinghard.
