2nd visit and still really good. Tried the pork dumplings, crab rangoon, hibachi chichen...all great.
I'm certain that the bulk of my horrible experience just now was due to my server. The food makes up the rest of the awfulness.... I sat there for 10mins before being told they would be right with me. 6mins later he finally came back, and I was ready toorder, but he asked what I wanted to drink and then walked off before I could tell him anything else. He comes back, dropped offmy ice tea and went to deliver a glass of ice water and left me waiting for another 7mins.Afyer taking my order he came backright away with my soup,and pushed it in front of me and putting the crisp wonton across the table from me. I was eating bymyself. The soup was very salty, but I was hungry and it was there. 10mins later I received my seaweed salad that was about 2ounces of kelp and 4ounces of iceberg lettuce. If I wanted an iceberg salad I would have ordered that. I watched 2 more youtubevideos and finally my shrimp and chicken upon came. Once again the server put it down on the complete other side of the tableand immediately turned his attention to a new table of 3. Didn't ask about anything till he came back to ask if I wanted thecheck. The shrimp and chicken were over cooked, dry, and rubbery. The noodles were swimming in sauce, and the veggies were 90%onions in large chunks. He did ask if I wanted a tea to go but at that point I just wanted to leave. There was another younglady working the floor as well and she was very nice and attentive to me as much as she could be and I wish I could have givenher the tip. Mis this place! I was charged for a special order. I was given the wrong order. I was Instructed to drive 25 miles back to the... restaurant to exchange the order. I asked for a credit the next time I come In . The answer was no. I asked for the manager.The young lady said I'm in charge. I asked for the owner. She said Steve will not call you back. No problem . I ordered a sushi burrito as I had never heard of such a thing before. It was just a huge roll of sushi sliced in half. It was... really good. The staff was friendly and the prices were fair. I would definitely go back if I'm ever in the area again. Read more
Unappealing food, not hot, sushi rolled without skill (fell apart), tasteless rice, and I gagged on the spring roll it was so... bad. I ate here years ago on a regular basis and it was 3 stars. Ok, but unimpressive. Coming back to my hometown for a visitand we chose to take my sister here for her birthday. Really regret the choice. The food was meh to regrettable and the menu wasit's own annoyance. It's been redesigned and the interior is lovely but the folders it's been put in do not allow it to openflat or even close to it and you're constantly fighting it. Additionally, the menu has some misleading information in it. Forexample, the bento dinners list what comes with them in addition to the main course choice. However, these additions do not comewith all of the bentos even though it says on the menu that they're included with bentos period. The server was nice enough totell me when I had said I looked forward to the vegetables that by chosen shrimp tempura did not come with vegetables eventhough it is listed. The reason? The chef says that shrimp would get soggy if you put the vegetables under it. Having receivedthe meal, it could easily be rearranged to accommodate the promised vegetables. Had I not been warned I would have been veryunhappy. The ambience if the restaurant is very nice. Comfortable seating with nice lighting and quiet music. It was not at allbusy and we were well attended. The server was incredible and she regains a star by herself by being so friendly and helpful.Otherwise it would be one star for the food and menu issues, particularly the misleading information and honestly frustratingchoice not to include part of the promised meal for such a stupid reason. The sushi wasn't even that good and it was rolled sopoorly it fell apart. Will not return. Read more
