Just grab a quick lunch before heading back to Edmonton and did worth the try. The hamburger is a little bit salty but still... great. We found this place on google maps and saw the ratings which made us interested. We ordered the dolmathes to share and they were... rock hard and ice cold. The yogurt dressing on the side was good. We then ordered the mains and all of us were unanimouslydisappointed. Chicken teriyaki - the sauce had little flavour and the chicken was not of the best quality. The veggies were notwell cooked as the broccoli was as crunchy as it is raw. Ribs - there is much work needed on this to improve this dish. The bbqsauce did not seem like a home-made sauce. It tasted like a packaged sauce that the chef just threw on the ribs. The meat seemedold and lacked taste. There were peas, carrots and beans served with the ribs which had 0 flavour. I highly suggest to themanagement to check this dish and try to fix it. Lamb souvlaki - the meat was not juicy as souvlaki is meant to be. The staffwas polite and the ambience of the restaurant was great. However, a lot of work needs to be done on the food since we wereoverall disappointed to pay so much for food that we could not finish. Read more
Wonderful family style restaurant. Wasn?t very busy at 4:30 on Friday. Outside looks a little older but inside is beautiful and... clean. Live trees growing inside make for wonderful ambiance. L&W is a great place to visit. Nice and cozy ambiance. This place is run by the same owner for 50 years or so. Standard is well... maintained. Natural beauty is well kept indoors as well. For apps we got the house soup, which was the chicken noodle soup andhouse salad. Both were decent. The soup lacked some flavor, once we added some salt and pepper it tasted pretty good. For themains, we decided to go with Chicken Souvlaki, Rainbow Trout and Lasagne. And shared it between the 4 of us. Pretty tasty. Don'tregret ordering any of the above. All different types of cuisines, but they all turned out to be delicious. They also providedtheir house special buns with some butter. They were surprisingly soft and tasted so good! Do visit. We wanted to try a restaurant that we can't go to in the city - what a fabulous choice we made! We sat at a table with a fig... tree hovering over us, which was great for an early anniversary dinner. Our server was absolutely delightful and our dinnerswere amazing! You get quite a lot of food for a very reasonable price. I would highly recommend visiting this eatery whenvisiting Jasper! Read more
The food is good, and the atmosphere is unique. The surroundings are dominated by giant indoor trees, which are pretty cool,... and visitors won't soon forget. The veal was great, and the chicken fingers were tasty also, and yes...some restaurants manageto mess those up. The nachos weren't the greatest....white onion instead of chives, and no guacamole was available. Nofanciness here, and I could have made better at home. Prices were reasonable. The main negative is that it needs someupdating, particularly on the carpets....they are really bad and kinda gross...falling apart really. All in all, positiveexperience, and I know my kids will remember it when they take their kids to "that restaurant with the trees inside" in thefuture. Read more
The restaurant is owned by the reception lady for 52 years already. It is incredible. The price is reasonable and the... environment is great and you felt like you are enjoying your dinner in the garden. The food is Greek style. Not my favoriteflavor probably I am not a cheese fan. However, I still would like to give full score for its priceless contribution for thecommunity in Jasper. Read more
Service and environment is really nice. The waiter is very caring. We got calamari for appetizer (seems not on the menu, but a... house special ) which is nice, a house salad and today's soup, and a barbecue chicken. Would love to visit again! Read more
