Great and fresh food... True to the farm to table restaurants
We were in the area and selected this restaurant because of they're favorable reviews. I had the Ruben sandwich. It was not the... best that I have ever had, but it was pretty good. Fantastic brunch at this local Jasper eatery with constantly rotating menu! Make sure to check the calendar to ensure they're... open and get reservations if you want to go for dinner. My party went for brunch and the fried green tomato sandwich is one ofthe best things I've eaten period. Grits are super fluffy and bacon crispy. We also deeply enjoyed the lamb quiche and omlets.Finish it off with a crumble and phenomenal carrot cate. They have a small but solid selection of beers and wines to keep youliquid. Farm to table, so menu is seasonal and changed frequently. Lunch menu had limited options but enough variety. I had a fried... chicken wrap made memorable by the addition of kale, fresh cherry tomatoes and basil mayo in just the right proportions. Thefried chicken pieces were clearly not out of a box or bag, but fresh, crispy and juicy. Just delicious. My beans and cornsauteed in basil butter was also unusual, fresh and cooked just right. My dining partner raved about her reuben (recommended byserver). A fruit crumble served a la mode for the finish was perfect. Service was excellent until the end when my friend and Iwere chatting and drink refills were no longer offered - perhaps an uncharitable attempt to get us to vacate. There were plentyof empty tables in our section by then but our server's shift may have ended. If so, I prefer straightforward communication tobeing ignored. Otherwise flawless service. Prices are exceptionally good for quality and flavor of food. Hours are irregular sovisit website beforehand. I had the delectable 61 omelette and my wife had the savorybreakfast! Both were absolutely delicious! You can tell by the amazing flavor the ingredients were fresh and made just for you!My bacon was done crispy and had an amazing flavor to it! The coffee was simply off the chain robust in flavor! It's the housebrew made just for them! It does not need creamer or sweetener just black is perfect! We bought a bag of coffee that's how goodit is! And don't forget desert! We had a mix of apples, cherries and granola warmed (similar to cobbler) to perfection! Theexperience we had here was something you would expect in Charleston or Savannah not in beautiful downtown Jasper!
