I?m giving them 3 star for service. Our waitress was kind, however we had to wait 35 minutes for our food. When the good came... out the rice was super dry and the skirt steak that my husband ordered was very tough and not to mention had no taste. The 3tacos dorados I got where burnt. We are not from around the Jefferson area we went to the casino out there and every time we seea Mexican restaurant we like to support. Read more

Can't recommend Casa De Oro enough. Local to the area, its hard to find a good Mexican restaurant that ticks off all the boxes.... Casa De Oro does so and so much more. Family run with a family friendly atmosphere, you're immediately greeted every time youwalk in the door . You'll be hard pressed to find a better welcoming offer of the warm chips, queso, pico, and salsa offeredhere unless you're in the casa of an abuela. The staff is friendly and attentive, recommend visiting during happy hour between 2and 5. We've worked our way through most of the menu and can't get enough of the Chili Colorado and the Camarones de Casa DeOro. Any dishes with stewed meats are good as is Miguel's Special, a family favorite as well. Definitely recommend the Chickenen Mole and Enchiladas Banderas. I could keep going on, but those are a few of our top hits. Worth seeking out! Read more

The best Mexican restaurant in Iowa, possibly in the US. Chips, salsa, and CHEESE DIP premeal is excellent. Margaritas are... neither watery or burnt. And I've loved everything I've ordered every time I've been there, but usually get the fajitas. Read more

The tortilla soup was good. I ordered a beef tostada that tasted ok but the presentation was sloppy. We also ordered a Chili... Relleno and it was a hot mess of cheese and beans, the relleno pepper was hard to find - again just sloppy presentation andimproper proportions. Friendly staff and clean restaurant. Read more
