Always friendly service. Though service can be a bit sketchy at times. Food is consistently good. Only once did I come on a... Friday night for the fried fish which was obviously frozen and was just awful! Now, you know me. I'm honest about things. Youneed a front of the house manager. Servers need to have defined sections and not be running from room to room. Should have nomore than 4-5 tables each. You know you are going be busy Sundays after church and I'm sure there are other times when you areconsistently busy that you should make sure you have sufficient servers. Love you all though. The staff are always friendly and responsive, the food is always delicious and the coffee drinks are always amazing! We are... especially fond of the desserts and always make a point to take cinnamon rolls, pie, or cookies home with us to enjoy later! Read more
My husband and I stopped here while shopping a couple of estate sales. What a great place! My husband got the tenderloin... sandwich with tater tots and I got the barracuda omelet. Both were fantastic and the waitstaff were great, too. Read more

This was my first time eating here. I ordered the Studebaker with no tomatoes, which is a burger that has grilled cheese used in... place of a bun. The bread for the grilled cheese was almost crouton hard, and the bacon was so hard and flat you could snap it.Then, upon opening it, guess what I find......a tomato. This is all on top of the fact that my drink was empty from almost 2minutes of me being there until I left and I was never given a refill, and the restaurant wasn't crowded or busy at all. Whilepaying, I asked if they gave out refills. He said "Yes, would you like one?" Of course I declined as I was on my way out thedoor. The only reason this is 2 stars instead of 1 is because they gave my daughter a replacement burger after accidentallydropping her plate on the floor. Read more
OMG ???? there new coffee, (couldn't choice what I wanted so I got both) saves me from driving 30 miles somewhere else and... allows me to support a local small business. Lunch, just as delicious! For a small town hole in the wall dive, the breakfast buffet on Sunday was the best. Everything was homemade, the price was... right on 11.99 for adults, 7.99 for kids and seniors. Their regular menu is well priced, and food has always been delicious. If you are ever traveling threw Jefferson iowa i recommend you stop in, you will not be disappointed. Read more
Really great breakfast can be found at the Junkyard Cafe - and anytime of the day too. Their scramblers are so good! Friendly... folks and a place where Vets are always welcome. If you are a Veteran make sure you sign their wall of honor! Their wait staffis so friendly. Read more
