Great location with beautiful views of the Indian River. Large parking lot. Rustic and large dining room. Cool bar... area. Outstanding, fast, and friendly service. Unfortunately, we really didn't enjoy any of the food. The Dolphin a la Dolphinwas a mushy mess and didn't taste good. (We were told that this was one of their top dishes) The beans and rice was not good atall. I love good beans and rice and this was just inedible. The asparagus was good and prepared correctly. The baked stuffedshrimp was made with small, cheap shrimp and the crab stuffing did not have a lot of crab meat and was not tasty. The risottounder the stuffed shrimp was surprisingly really good. The brussel sprouts were just steamed bland with no flavor. The shrimpand lobster bisque was acceptable but we've had much better in many other seafood places. Overall, the food left much to bedesired. The price point is definitely way too high for the quality of the food served. We have no problem paying a premium forgreat food, but feel ripped off when served sub-par food at that price point. Would recommend it for the location and theviews. Good place for drinks. Amazing food and great staff! Great selection of items on their menu, some unfamiliar but the staff explained it well. Love the views and the atmosphere here. My server was friendly. I ordered the seafood chowder and the fish dip. I was told the... fish dip is made by the restaurant. It did taste fresh but I thought it was just ok. The soup of the day was seafood chowder andit was absolutely delicious. I should have ordered the bowl instead of the cup! Never knew of this place and it is a big restaurant with plenty of seating inside and outside and different sections. Great... tranquilo view overlooking the river. I had the Togarashi Tuna which comes in beautiful presentation and it was good but I wishit had more flavor for it was a bit bland. But let me jump to the Tiramisu which was really delicious. We had yet another wonderful experience here last night. We brought a couple who had not been here before and they loved it.... Ambience, service and food were wonderful. Waitstaff attentive and friendly, although they ran out of haddock at 5:15 pm. Thatsaid, Chandler was our “hostess” walking us to our table. Enjoyed a lovely Sunday brunch at this unique and historic restaurant. Service was attentive, they easily accommodated our... large party of 12, and everyone found something tempting from the menu to enjoy. The omelet and waffle station was very popularand staffed to prepare your order, and the self-craft mimosas and bloody Mary station was well stocked. There were five of us and everybody said their food was outstanding and they have been here many times before. This was my first... visit I had a dolphin sandwich. It was good but pricey at $23 and it was fresh but it had been flash frozen it wasn’t freshcaught. I’m a fisherman I know the difference. I don’t mind paying the price when it’s fresh caught never frozen dolphin.I live in Palm Beach County and there’s a couple of restaurants on the water where the dolphin sandwich is less expensive andit’s very fresh and juicy and really delicious. This is an old Florida place and I’m an old Floridian and so don’t get mewrong I enjoyed it very much but I’d like to know if the fish is fresh or is flown in from somewhere after being flash frozen.I highly recommend but if you’re picky about your fresh fish like me just ask first. ????
