Second review - Breakfast here is Dreamy! Every time we visit PSL we come here for breakfast! This time I had the Blueberry... Dream pancakes. Blueberries IN the pancakes as well as on top and rum sauce! ???? Uncle still had the Fireball French toast, menhave one track minds! ???? Next time we visit I'm going to see if they can put the toasted coconut on top of the blueberrypancakes with the rum sauce! That would make them Heavenly Pancakes, because I would be done dreaming and gone to heaven! ????The only problem I had was the newbie at the register. Upon arrival I had gone inside and asked for a server to bring a toweloutside to wipe down the table, we had a pup so dining outside was the only option. When a server finally came out not only wasthere no towel but she was not told anyone was outside. Another couple with a pup had the same problem. They were told thecashier was new. Need to train people to talk? But I didn't let that ruin my over all experience. First review - French toastegg-cellent! Took my Uncle for the Fireball french toast and discovered they had Toasted Coconut as well, my favorite! We bothgot half orders of French toast with 2eggs, bacon and coffee. I've never been more excited to write a review! Rick's has delicious food, family aesthetic, and super friendly service! We were... seated right away and had drinks served within a minute. Although everything on the menu sounded incredible, we went with theHawaiian Pancakes, Philly Cheese Steak, Breakfast Schnitzel, and the Chicken Basket. We were so happy with our choices!Everything was cooked to perfection - even had a fluffy biscuit with the Schnitzel! - , our food was served warm, and theportions were more than plentiful. My complements to the chef on those pancakes because they were DIVINE! Even after sitting outon the table for twenty minutes before we got to them, they were not soggy from the caramelized pineapple and had a perfectlightness; these are a MUST when you come dine here. I drive a semi all over this beautiful country of ours, hauling food, and eating some as well. From California to Minnesota and... down to my home here in P.S.L. Nothing compares to this food and atmosphere. My wife was looking for something different. Wentonline and chose Rick's!!!! Absolutely blown away. Food, it's cooked to order. It will be hot when it comes out. Fried greentomatoes are second to none. My wife ordered the Philly Cheese Steak. I ordered the Reuben. Our server didn't bring our platesout to us. The chef did. His name was Rick. THE OWNER!!! Introduced himself to us and so proudly, told us he cooked our food.Even sat down for a short conversation. He was busy. There's a photo of him with his back to us. He had been trying to eat alittle spot of lunch, but he would see something out of the corner of his eye, and abandoned his lunch several times. Whether asurprise came up in the kitchen, to getting us condiments to seating guests that just walked in due to their greeter alreadyseating folks. Of all the places in this country, this is now my go to!!! Would have left a ten star review, but it only goes tofive. My wife, she is a picky eater, she didn't have anything to say that wasn't good. All around great experience. The staff was all super friendly and accommodating. Although they didn't have options for gluten... free breads they were willing to adjust menu items to fit my needs. I sat at the counter and got to watch the food coming out ofthe kitchen; everything looked delicious! The food tasted home made and was exactly what I was looking for. Can't wait to comehere again. Went inside for lunch. Lots of people coming in so that's a good sign already. Very attentive staff making sure if I needed... anything. I ordered the Moms black and blue burger with onion rings.
