Long overdue that I give this review, Amelia bistro is a hidden gem of the jersey city waterfront. Great food & drinks, perfect... for summer or fall. Right now they’re running a $5 happy hour special on appetizers & drinks from 3pm til closing for Oct,don’t miss it! The owner Frank is nice & very welcoming to everyone. Read more

Good food, we went as a family of 3 and had brunch. It was enjoyable both food and drinks. The dishes "Hen in the Garden" a... vegetarian dish, kids pancake, apple juice, Salmon Benedict, Bloody Mary and brunch potatoes where good. The quantity wassufficient and not too much. The service was good and we where taken care of well. We got seating indoor as it was full outside. Read more

Loved the dining experience at Amelia’s. The menu had diverse options to choose from and everything was so flavorful! The beef... was super tender and the hummus w/pita they served us upon arriving was a much better alternative to bread and butter mostplaces serve. Loved Amelia’s and would visit again. Read more

FOOD [4/5]: Overall the place had tasty food but it wasn't one of those spots where I'd be rushing back to. We got the crispy... chicken sandwich - which was absolutely massive and tasty - and the avocado Thai wrap which was also quite nice, although a bitmore expensive than I'd expect. I wish there was a larger number of vegetarian offerings. SERVICE [4/5]: Service was good, nothing out of the ordinary. VIBE [4/5]: Very inviting indoor and outdoor seating. The only small gripe with the outdoor setupis that some of the tables are right next to parked cars and the uneven sidewalk makes the tables wobble. Read more

My bestie and I dined at Amelia's for her birthday brunch. We did the double mimosas which were great. She ordered the Tour of... Amelia Brunch Special and thoroughly enjoyed it. I had the lobster hash and ordered waffles as well. Both were delicious. Iliterally started doing my Winnie the Pooh wiggle when I took my first bite of the lobster hash. So darn good! My only complaintwas the Bloody Mary I tried. I love, love, love a good Bloody Mary and order one whenever its on a menu. I got the Surf and TurfBloody Mary and it was not good at all. I mean it was absolutely awful which was shocking because they had such an extensive BMlist that I figured they had to be great. I tried adding salt and hot sauce to fix it and still ended up leaving my $24 BM onthe table. Other than that everything was great. The service, mimosas, the food all were enjoyable. We are already making plansto return soon. Read more

FYI: there is a 4% charge on credit cards so if you have cash use it and make sure to ask them to give you the bill for the cash... payment. I got the chicken and waffles, the Caramel French toast, and mimosas. The alcohol is not very good at all, I got astomach ache from them. The juice is very bitter and doesn’t taste much like a typical bellini but I guess that’s why it’s$5. It was disappointing. The staff was nice though and they took off the drinks we did not drink off of our check. But thechicken and waffles were fantastic and very fresh, as well as the French toast. This wouldn’t be my first choice for food butit isn’t a bad option. Read more

Having brunch at Amelia's was a very pleasant experience - the outdoor structure is very beautifully done. The food was great... and the staff was very hospitable. The Benedict was excellent (crunchy on the outside, creamy on the inside), the pancakes weresumptuous, the spinach and tomato omelette was good (the veggies weren't mixed with the egg batter, so were lightlycooked). Would highly recommend if you're in the area! Read more

We went here today in Jan on a snowy Friday night. There were very few people there. The service was good but the food and... drinks were very bleh. We ordered mozzarella sticks which seemed under cooked. Probably the worst ones I have every had. We alsogot the ginger mango glazed chicken and buffalo chicken flatbread. It was very average food. However, the reason for 3-stars wasthat they messed up my husband's drink order. He wanted to try the two whiskey based cocktails and somehow they both tasted andlooked exactly the same and the waitstaff got confused when he asked for the other one from what he got the first time. Theyseemed very confused and no one knew what they gave him vs what the different one should look like. Read more
