I started going to Bistro La Source 7 years ago, and since then I’ve never been disappointed dining here! The ambiance is... classic, modest and cozy, and I feel comfortable whether I’m dressed up for a date night out or in casual clothes for apost-work bite. The outdoor “pods” provide a beautiful and private outdoor dining experience, while the inside tables give aneighborhood-spot feel. This evening we opted for the Fried Calamari, Fresh Fettuccine, Mediterranean Seafood Stew, LambLollipops, and Chocolate Torte. All delicious options I would and will gladly order again. I have also enjoyed the mussel bowlsall ways available. The prices are very fair for upscale-ingredient French meals. Having tried most similar restaurants inJersey City/Hoboken as a local, Bistro La Source still lands in my Top 5 for menu options, quality, ambiance and price. Read more

Good service. Good tasty food. We had foie gras and escargot among other dishes. All were good. Good desserts too.

Apart for the delicious food this bistro has to offer there is also outstanding hospitality & a great location. My good friend,... who loves the place, took me there last spring, on a sunny afternoon. We sat, ate, drank and utterly enjoyed every minute ofmore than 4 hours. So this week I came back with a table of 11 for a family celebration and it was a perfect finale for a greatday. The owner prepared a special menu for us, which added a personal touch to an already romantic experience. The food wasexcellent and hospitality outstanding again. I would send everyone I know there, but my friend might kill me… Read more

Chicken breast sandwich was simple and good - would have liked a sauce / spread in it - came with yummy crunchy outside/soft... inside fries. The French toast was delicious with a good amount of strawberries and blueberries. Happy that their syrup was realmaple syrup. Read more

We usually love the chocolate mousse here, but went the other night to get some to go and it was soupy and runny and not good.... We went back to tell them and they just said they’d tell the manager. No offer to replace. For the price, it was veryfrustrating and disappointing to not be able to enjoy the dessert. Read more

My favorite neighborhood restaurant! Our favorites: lamb sliders (so juicy with a kick), mussels (fresh and tender with great... sauce!), foie gras (just a gem!), and the fried chicken (super juicy, not overly salty like others, hearty, and the salad isgreat too!). I am also a fan of the quails and the sides that come with it. Read more

Great little french place with really good food and friendly staff. They have outdoor seating in little heated igloos that look... really cute but it was too cold when we went so we sat indoors. The food was delicious and well presented. We loved the musselsso much that we ended up ordering another one. The cocktails were strong and tasty and they also have a decent collection ofwine. Only thing missing is a section on their menu showing the sides you can order. I had to look at the sides that came withdifferent dishes to find the ones I wanted to order. I did point it out to our server so hopefully they update their menu. Read more

Had a relatively okay experience overall. Meal options: Meal was okay. Complementary bread came after the meal had been served... which was a bit annoying considering they served other customers that arrived later than I did before the servers came to mytable. I had the Goat cheese croquettes! ???????? Food Size: food portion was neither small nor large. It was just the rightamount ???????????? Seating options: there are outdoor and indoor seating options available ???????????????? Cleanliness:relatively clean ???????? Servers: Were just okay too! ???????????? Read more
