I loved it there deff made me proude , a cool Jamaican themed atmosphere with some old school reggae in the background not too... loud and not to low just enought to enjoy the sights and vibes of the space, the good food was needed. The costumer service wasamazing, she was the owner and she helped us out so much ??, I appreciated her thoughtfulness deff would tell everyone abouther ,and I wish them more success, now and forever ????, thank you! So my 1st time getting food from this place I had 3 orders Jerk chicken and rice, one with shrimp, and My favorite Oxtail with... rice with Mac and cheese as our share box. I was so disappointed the rice wasn?t cooked all the way through (hard) the oxtailwas fat no meat (did not cook till tender) and the chicken was dry like maybe it?s because we did takeout instead of Dine in butnot the point because the Mac and cheese was delicious so what happened to the rest? Don?t know about going back and spendinglots of money for 3 ppl to get the same results again. Loved the Mac and cheese though. Read more

Recently tried this restaurant, although I am ALWAYS apprehensive ordering west Indian food from restaurants as I'm west Indian... Myself. But this place did very well. Authentic west Indian food, true to our flavors and spices, I appreciated the eco friendlypackaging even if it wasn't convenient for me, it's better for Mother Earth. Excellent portions as well and exceptional pricesfor the amount of food you get. My 1 complaint is I wish I had gotten more oxtail, but that's me just wanting more meat thanrice. Delicious food worth trying. And it arrived piping HOT! That never happens. Read more

This is the problem I have with Jamaican restaurants: always running out of food. They advertise a chicken and shrimp lunch for... $18. I feel this price is excessive but wanted to support although my husband warned me against it. I received a box full of dryrice no gravy although I requested it, I received 3 pieces of shrimp and scraps of old chicken. This is a takeout place, I couldhave went to a dine in restaurant for less and better quality. Absolutely unacceptable and I will not ever return and by the waywe?re Jamaican. Next time I?ll just go to Carmines for lunch Read more

Just bought food from them , it was horrible. I don?t understand why my food was COLD as the winter , I bought jerk chicken &... they told me I had to pay for the sauce , they gave me DRY CHICKEN WITH NO SAUCE WHY DO I HAVE TO PAY FOR SOMETHING THATSUPPOSED TO COME WITH SAUCE. I Also bought curry chicken & white rice , let?s not talk about the rice NASTY & COLD & DRY. I donot recommend buying food from them . They have the nastiest attitude it?s ridiculous. Read more

Decent food. This place had the best west Indian food I've tasted in jersey city. And I've tried almost all in the area. Small... quite and clean. The employees were pleasant and made sure my order was correct to the T. I'm done looking. I'm a stick withthis spot for my west Indian meals. I definitely recommend Jerkin Chicken. Read more

Aug 9th My first time here and decided to go with the stew chicken for dinner. $14 for the stew chicken dinner is fair? given... that the portion size can be enough for two. The stew chicken was some of the best that I?ve tasted from a Jamaican restaurantin a long time. The rice and peas were good, but a bit dry. I got a limeade to drink? I wouldn?t order it again. It costs $5and it doesn?t taste like they use real limes. Overall I?d be back to try another dish. Read more
