Great tasting food. Best to visit for lunch time though. The dinner wave is a bit too crowded and the tables are way too close... to one another. Over priced menu items fill the selections. $18 for fried rice is crazy. Regardless tho, the food tastes great.Highly recommend the drunken noodles as well. Read more

I'm a newbie to Grove Street, so can't do any comparisons. I was walking around looking for the place I am going to and said,... "Ooh, Thai!" when I passed by. After I located my destination, I came back. It was pretty empty (about 5pm on Tuesday). Theysat me down at a table for two and automatically provided me with a Ball jar of water. I checked out the menu for about 2minutes, put it down, and a waitress came right away. I ordered the chicken Pad Thai (I always order the chicken Pad Thai atThai restaurants). It was maybe another 3 minutes before my plate hit the table. The food is very moist, appearing freshly madeand not dry as it would be if it was sitting around for awhile. The chicken is not overcooked as I find in many Thairestaurants. They provided a slice of lime, and extra slices as requested. They also brought me chopsticks, because it seemslike a sin or disrespect to eat Asian food without them. The size of the plate was big, but small enough to finish in onesitting without appetizers. In terms of ambience, there are a series of lanterns hanging from the ceiling, with decent Floraland ethnic decorations on some shelves on one side. There is one very long booth chair that spans an entire side of therestaurant. All of those tables are two person tables. The other tables seat four. It is clear that some of the tables could becombined to seat more. There are also some chairs at the bar, although I don't see any alcohol. You hear what I assume is ThaiR&B style music playing. The volume is mid-high, but low enough to have a pleasant conversation with your guests. If I wanted aromantic night out, this would be a great place. Read more

The sweet and sour flavor of the house noodle soup was spot on. I enjoyed the egg noodle because it’s hard, and they have... other kinds as well. The seafood could do better - the squid was too chewy and the shrimp tasted like the frozen ones that youdefrost and boil. Read more

One Dee Siam in Jersey city has excellent quality food and good portions per plate. The only downside is the slightly longer... wait time between your orders. The service is a bit slow. The restaurant is clean though and the servers are really nice. Ihighly recommend trying this place if you don't mind waiting a bit for your food. Strongly recommend - 1. Thai basil entreewith your choice of meat 2. Pad gra pow from the speciality menu 3. Thai iced tea Read more

A good addition to the dining scene in JC. nice interior. Good lighting. Spacious. Friendly staff. Flavorful dishes. The Thai... iced tea is on point and a must have with your meal especially if you order something spicy. I ordered a dish called Two buddieswhich are shrimp and scallops with vegetables. Really good. The other Dushanbe was disappointing which was the crispy pork. Itwas too crispy. We think it was over cooked and dried. We do not recommend this dish. I’m giving it 4 stars because it is agood restaurant. It is different (not Italian and not Mexican/tacos). More variety and diversity is needed in JC. Read more

I loved the food here. I have been hunting for a cozy Thai place in grove which serves the perfect chilli sauce and the minced... basil chicken. This one definitely lives upto my expectation. My husband is a vegetarian and vegetarian food was really good.Hetried the pineapple fried rice and it was great. I enjoyed dining at this place. We also ordered the Thai iced tea and Thaiiced coffee , both were good Read more

Trending in the right direction to be the Thai staple in downtown JC. I’ve ate here probably 6 times split between takeout... and dine in. With their grand opening things did started a little rough where service was poor and food was just alright. Theywere definitely under staffed and it was probably hard to hire. It looks like they’ve worked out their new restaurantpains. The last two times I ate there, the food is much better with more flavor. The service has also improved. I like everydish since then and am really enjoying this restaurant. Many of their specials are amazing especially the fried catfish saladand fried pork dish. I am also digging the papaya salad. I hope this trend continues and the quality continues to improve to asimilar status like the Wondee Siam location in nyc. Read more

The next big Thai spot in Jersey City! I went with 4 friends and each of us loved our meal. The duck gra pow was cooked really... well and had tons of taste to it. The curry puffs were incredible and the Thai spring rolls had a perfect flakiness to it. Theambiance is also really cool. They decorated simply but with purpose, and they have really cool wooden chairs. Also, you can’tbeat this location!!! Read more
