I have been here twice and it was very pleasant both times. The first time I went with my boyfriend and we got typical lamb gyro... fare and it was all delicious. At the end we were stuffed but the waitress gave us complimentary rice pudding so we ate that tooand loved it:) The second time I went I was adventurous and got the babaganoush which was not the best, but better than manybabaganoushes I have had in Jersey. The shepherd salad was a perfect way to start the meal and we shared it between five friendsas an appetizer. The eggplant casserole I ordered was amazing and the portions here are huge. I believe I split this into threeseparate meals. This night I had to order take out for my injured boyfriend at home and they had no problem taking a separateorder and bringing it out right at the end of our meal. Wonderful service in my opinion. I ordered a Turkish coffee before mymeal and the waiter brought it with a little chocolate! Delicious coffee as well. Next time I'm in Jersey City I'm going tofind my way here again for sure. We LOVED the experience here! The food was INCREDIBLE! We ordered the Shepards salad, stuffed eggplant and knafeh, each dish was... amazing, my favorite was the stuffed eggplant. The service is warmly and welcoming, very attentive. Our lovely server, Ali, madesure we enjoyed all of the food and the entire experience. Extremely friendly staff. Very yummy kebabs. I got the lamb kebab. It?s smoky and juicy. Well seasoned too. Goes so well with... the rice. Also the grilled veggies were extraordinary! My fiancé got the vegetable casserole which was very hearty and yummy. Read more
Very poor customer service. We wanted music, they couldn't get music to work. We wanted drinks, they didn't bring anything to... drink until our meal arrived, not even water! The lamb was dried out and not very good. The French Fries were good, but Frenchfries are not complicated to get right. I will not eat here again, and also would not recommend this place. Ate here with my family for lunch and had the best experience. Very friendly waitress who gave us great recommendations for... appetizers, lunch, and dessert. The food was delicious and the portions were so big that we all had leftovers to take home togo! And the dessert was very tasty and the perfect balance after a large meal.
