We came over from Brooklyn on a Friday night. We were able to be seated immediately without a reservation. The tables were... spacious and it was nice not to feel like we were sitting on top of the people next to us. The food took about and hour to comeout, but it was worth the wait. We ordered the Tailgate Fried Chicken sandwich and the Verde Burger. The fries were cookedperfectly. We split the Bread Pudding for dessert. We tried several cocktails: Pumpkin Spice Mule (delicious), Hit the RoadJack, and Bad Apple. I look forward to taking another trip to Jersey to try more items on the menu. Read more

Food was decent. I asked them to switch out the cheese steak with pulled chicken & then were happy to do that for me. It was a... bit dry, but tasty for sure. The other item we got was the veggie burger. Very tasty + fries were amazing. Read more

Huge spacious restaurant. The staff is very nice . They didn't have several food items which was little saddening because we... really wanted some green fried tomatoes. And some southern fried chicken ????. But the brisket was good and fries delicious andceviche was fresh and light. The appetizer wing's we're good and savory and sweet. Read more

Definitely a different vibe for lunch / dinner vs late night drinks. I was there for just drinks and saw it get a bit rowdy but... sometimes that's what you want. Downstairs has some games and the second bar. Bit of a mixed crowd which I guess was why themusic was all over the place. Recommend the dj to stick to one theme or genre. Drinks were strong and reasonably priced. Read more

The place itself is beautiful and has a nice atmosphere for maybe just drinks. The wait staff were great and attentive. Their... food even looks beautiful. But does not taste authentically southern. My ribs were dry and too charred. I had requested more bbqsauce and it helped a little bit until I couldn?t stomach the charred bits. My brothers country fried steak was not breaded, waswell done and lacked any flavor aside from salt and pepper. If you want a gentrified version of southern food come here.Otherwise go somewhere else because I paid 77 dollars for food that we couldn?t stomach. Sad day in my book because the ratingsare so high. If you?re looking for a hip bar, this could be the place; but if you?re looking for great tasting southern food, this just isn?t... it. The $14 Fritos pie had great meat, the $12 biscuit and gravy (single biscuit) was great albeit a little bland, and the $22Country Fried Steak was sadly an embarrassment to steak and the country. It was flavorless, overcooked, and doused in a way toopeppery white gravy, served alongside some great mashed potatoes and the blandest Mac and cheese I?ve ever had. Anotherembarrassment to country eating. Good atmosphere, meh food, I give it a 3/5. Read more

Welcome to South House. Beautifully rustic. The sound system, top class. The bass will shake your bones. You?ll be warmly... greeted and quickly seated. It?s not uptight, more casual but in a friendly demeanor. The food is guaranteed to fill you up andtrue to its core. Accompanied by a large selection of drinks, there will be one for many types. At the end, you?ll exit andthink, that was pretty good, perhaps I?ll be back. Read more

I?ve been here twice, Once for nightlife and once to dine in, Both experiences were great! The decor alone is very well done,... exposed brick, wood elements with an antique touch. Food wise , the brisket tacos were a huge Win for me. Perfectly charred andseasoned. Good mix of music for nightlife and a super cool downstairs that offers another bar, pool table and seating.
