Ooo my... best PIZZA around Jersey City's exchange place area.. First I thought it was just talk.. how in a world you can make... Pizza without all NO listed on chalkboard.. Let me say we were very surprised to find best tasting PIZZA we ever had at Tino's.We ordered four different item from manu including traditional Margarita, every item was delicious.. My favorite is their eggplant parm sandwich (not pictured) but most other dishes I?ve had are just as good. Their red sauce is... so hearty. The chicken bites and arancini are our favorite appetizer. Food definitely reflects the use of fresh/qualityingredients. Read more
Surprised with myself for not having reviewed this place sooner. It?s my absolute favorite pizza in the area after Razza. They... are a BYOB, which always makes meals reasonable. Their pizzas are just delicious. The servers are super friendly. Veryaccessible by light rail but also plenty of street parking available. Read more
Edit: They offer dairy-free/vegan pizza options! This truly is my fave place in Jersey City!! ? WHAT a lovely hidden gem! Most... of the ingredients are high quality, and you can literally taste and feel the difference. Pizzas can easily feed 2 people,maybe 3 if appetites aren't huge and you get an antipasto to share. They also use real mozzarella on the pizza here! I can'teven eat cheese, but I can appreciate the efforts in putting the real stuff on their pizzas. (If only they had a dairy-freeoption! Then they'd really be my fave spot ever!) You know why you get the "itis", a.k.a. food coma after you eat heavy foods?Your body is inflamed, trying to metabolize the junk you just put in you. But this place? Nah, no food coma here. You'll befull afterwards, don't get me wrong, but it's a pleasant, post-meal feeling?the kind you should be expecting. Table service isavailable, but they also have a pickup window around the side of the building (the restaurant's on a corner) if you wantsomething for takeout. My first trip to Jersey lead me to Tinos and I am so lucky to have found them! Their cute outdoor dining area was shaded. Menu... has tons of options - I had the Margherita pizza, Pinot and a cannoli! All are delicious and I can't wait to return. The pizzais the best I've ever had - crispy but still foldable thin crust, flavorful sauce, and top quality mozzarella and EVOO. Mywaiter was kind and attentive, who informed me that Tino still comes in and does things like weeding the plants. He also saidthat they are terrific employers. Enjoyed our pizzas! I like the mushroom & sausage while my friends love the clams. We want to recommend on their dough - thinner... than the normal pizzas yet chewy, and extremely flavorful! A pizza feeds about 2 so 4 of us enjoyed the meal well. Would be backto try more! Read more
How often do you come across a 5-star rated pizzeria; and this once was right down by apartment. This is why I love this vibrant... neighborhood. We entered the pizzeria close to the closing time and the waitress was really patient and kind enough to let usin, which I have experience for the first time after moving to the US. I was so excited to see the menu filled with a lot ofvegetarian pizzas and truffle based dishes. We were recommended the Tartufo pizza, which is a red base filled with mushrooms.The pizza was so soft, and succulent. Loved the rich aroma and I wish the mushrooms weren?t too much to take.
